It's probably something you'll want to talk to Trion about. Tech support if it's a known issue will have something to say about it.

On a personal level... Windows XP came out in 2001... I don't blame you for getting Vista...but Win 7 is great. It surprises me so many people still use XP .

Try running it in windowed full screen mode.

Resolved this for a few of our guild mates.

Default no sound on win xp

I'm running into no sound issues myself with winxp sp3. I tried everything from getting the latest drivers and boosting page file space to running the game in window mode to no avail.

System: amd phenom 9950 Qcore, mmx, 2.6 GHz
vc: ati radeon hd 4800 (400MHz; 512mb mem)
    ram: 4gb
    dx: 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

i'm using the realtek onboard sound driver and all other audio is working beautifully as norm.

any help would be greatly appreciated! (so...friggin....cloooose)

No, srsly, I tried window mode and it doesn't work. I ran recovery and it didn't help. I deleted all the audio files and reinstalled them through recovery and it didn't help.
