    Default Rift very GPU dependant?

    Hey.

Is it just me, or is Rift very GPU /Memory dependant?

Memory on 45% usage, CPU on 30% when playing.

I was wondering the same thing. Using a GTX 260, my GPU usage is always between 85% - 98% while my Phenom II 965 BE stays around 50%.

I'm on a budget so the best I could do was a Radeon 6850 which should arrive next week. I'm hoping this will increase the game's performance for me.

Do not invest in new hardware for this game, you will be dissapointed. Wait 2-3 months to see if Trion can optimize it or not, then decide.

This game chokes/toasts my GTX460 at even relatively low settings. A bit disappointing. Then again, WoW also always hogged more power from the computer than its outward appearances would've suggested.
