Gtx 560's better by a few frames and all while remaining cool and using less power. I have a gtx 470 and it required an aftermarket cooler to combat the noise and heat which drove up the cost as well as making it take up three slots.

Neither. Get one 580 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121409 ) and put the other $100 toward a SSD or a decent case.

    ^^

This. Or save the 100 and put it towards a 590 later this year, and have TriSLI 580's on 2 PCIE slots.

Rule of thumb: Buy better single GPU over SLI - you can always add a second later when you need it and prices have dropped. A single 580 dominates this game, and every other game including Metro 2033 maxed out at 1080p.
