Default Sound issue on exiting game.

    Howdy,

Whenever the game crashes, or I exit it normally, i'm left with an annoying stattico hum, almost like the sound you sometimes get for a sec or two after a crash. Anyone know how to fix this? It's very annoying having to restart the rig everytime!

    Running w7 64, Sonar 7.1 soundcard.

Tried updating the soundcard drivers? IF you dont know what version you have etc, do a dxdiag and copy the whole results of it here (i'll be able to tell what specific card and driver version you are using and can look for an updated one to link to you)

Well without seeing a dxdiag i can only trust that you are correct there, and if so, i would check your sound settings themselves

Next would be updating your motherboard chipset drivers. Do you know what motherboard you have? If not, use cpuz to see.

    Default same here

i have the same problem, only happens with rift.

    same card too...

goto device drivers, disable card/enable card

allow you to get rid of the stutter when it happens, w/o forcing a reboot.

for me, it only happens when i exit the game from fullscreen mode tho.

    Are your drivers current?

dxdiag will show if it is or not if you dont know off the top of your head

Same card, same issue, using the latest drivers from 14/02. It's only with RIFT, so it's definitely something RIFT-specific. As mentioned, disabling/enabling resolves the issue, but it is a little odd/annoying!

Same card (Asus Xonar D2X), same issue, using the latest drivers 7.12.8.1793 on Windows 7 X64.

    That's only happening with rift.

I have received the card yesterday ...

    A fix please !
