    Default Comprehensive Graphics Settings Guide?

Has anyone made a sort of comprehensive graphics setting guide yet?

i.e. which graphics settings give the most bang for the GPU/CPU hit they give?

I realize a lot of things are listed as GPU intensive within the settings themselves, but really that doesn't tell us much.

My graphics card is a few years old now, though still semi-decent (nVidia 8800GTX) and my system processor is a quad core Q6700. So also a little dated, but pretty decent.

During the beta I was able to get some decent FPS, but it took me a lot of fiddling back and forth and restarting the game to achieve this. And I forgot to write down my settings before uninstalling the beta (hopefully they'll carry over).

So I'm hoping someone else maybe has written something up that lists things like.. Useless GPU intensive things that you'll hardly notice if they're turned off, etc.

    Anyone?

Not yet, still a lot of unknowns, also Trion has added several Rift.cfg entries and may keep tweaking out on that front.

As of last beta, the best advice:

Set your GPU control panel to application controlled settings.

Edit Rift.CFG entry to MainThreadCPU = 0 (default is 3) (basically lets the game use any core not just thread on one)

Anisotropic Filitering in game seems to have a bigger performance hit than usual, usually AF is "free" for most GPU's not so much with Rift.

AA in game is super sampling mode, hugely taxing on the CPU/GPU but great quality. Disable it if you can live without it. I can't so i get 30 FPS and even lower in Rifts and Invasions :/

That's all that comes to mind at the moment.

You can forget about AA and shadows , also some of the ground clutter stuff makes an impact.
Distance to max has a huge impact as well ....

Every system/gpu is different, you really have to get into the game & have a play around. There's no magic setting for every gpu out there.

i 2nd this.... also no GPU/CPU will ever be completely identicial even 2 GPU's of the same make and model will not necessarily perform the same or have the same overclockability
