* Temporarily disable your Security systems, all except for your Firewall. They will interfere with the uninstall.

* Using Windows or the Rift uninstaller, uninstall the Beta Client Patcher. This operation MUST succeed. You will know it has succeeded as there will be no error, and the entry for the Rift Beta will be gone from the list of apps in the utility that shows programs available to uninstall.

* Note that there will be a large number of files left over in your Rift Beta directory, and probably the launch shortcuts too. This is not a problem. Delete the entire Rift Beta directory and the shortcuts.

* You should now be able to run the Live Client installer. This will install the Live Client Patcher / Launcher.

* When you first run the just installed Live Client Patcher / Launcher, it will patch itself. It is NOT installing the Live Rift files; it is just updating itself.

* You are done for now. Until they enable the Rift authentication and download of the full Client software, you will get an error if you try to log in (#2002, I think).

* Re-enable your Security services. However, when the patcher is enabled and you can download, I would once again disable the Security services (except for your Firewall). Once everything is downloaded, re-enable Security services and setup the Rift patcher and Client for fast access.

* Make no attempt to run the game with any of the old beta files. Doing so is a sure path to frustration and failed operations.
