    Default Suggest a Vid Card?

    Here are my specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4ghz quad core
    RAM: 8gb DDR3 1333
    PSU: 550w
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 5770 Juniper XT 1gb

I want to upgrade my video card in the not too distant future. This is a great rig, but I want it to be better, can anyone suggest a card that isnt $500 but that will put me to the next level? I'm talking maybe around $300? Thanks!

    I recently purchased this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130610

I am very happy with the performance it delivers and I like that it was overclocked by EVGA and then has a lifetime warranty slapped onto it. This thing is beasty in size though! Required 1 PCI 2.0 x16 slot and then 4 additional plugs into the power supply.

The card recommends a minimum of 500W PS and I'm running a 700W. Whichever card you go with you may want to consider upgrading your PS.

edit: however I'm not up to date on ATI cards and not sure how my card compares to yours.

I'd stick with what you have. 5770 is a fine card. A $300 card isn't worth the price with what you have already.

Maybe if you can sell that card for $60-75 on Craigslist. Then getting a 5850 or 6850 would only cost you, net, $100-120. Which is a decent upgrade for the price.
