    Default Keeps crashing.

Hi, this thread is not for me but for my friend. I want him to play RIFT but when his laptop runs it he says it keeps crashing. He can get past the chharacter select screen and sometimes ingame but then it crashes and an error report request pops up.

His laptop isnt that bad, it is high spec and can play most games (its pretty new). So I dont know where the problem could be, if you have similar problems please reply.

With this system your friend will be really pushing it I assume. I have tried running Rift through bootcamp on my macbook with a similar card, i7 processor and 8gb of RAM and get maybe like 15 fps on high/ultra, didn't bother to test it on lower settings however cause I'm a sucker for aesthetics but it could be possible to play, just probably not in raid settings i'd assume. I would check for the system overheating however cause it will put a high demand on the gpu.

I had the same problem (although with a desktop) and what fixed it for me was running the recovery thingy in the launcher, has your friend tried that?
