Default ATI new Anti-aliasing technique MLAA in RIFT

Is anybody tried that new technique of AA called MLAA?
Since we've got only SS in the game options and let's be honest it's very demanding in terms of graphics cards' raw power.

MLAA looks promising. It can be activated from ATI/AMD control panel and very often doesn't eat much processing power.
Unfortunately it can be switched on only on the newest 6x00 series and as people reporting also on 5x00 series.

Probably many of you tried to force AA before with usual boxed/edge detect but RIFT doesn't like it. However with MLAA might be a different story...

I agree that MLAA isn't perfect however ALL AA makes the image slightly blurred, it's called ANTI-ALIASING for a reason... /sigh. At least it's another option rather than JUST None, Edge or 2X SSAA. Perfect .. ? No. A welcome option.. Yes.

Fanboy much? It's basically a bargain basement anti-aliasing mode for people on low-end cards who want some improvement with no frame-rate hit, it's not supposed to be used by anyone with a decent card. Keep on ragin'.

For the likes of us there is still adaptive multi-sampling or super-sampling AA with or without enhanced edge detection.

Edit: I guess you realised how ignorant you sounded and edited your post, forgive me if I don't edit mine.

If at first you don't succeed, threaten to quit unless it's nerfed.

Ignorant? no. Just didn't want to troll here.

At least you can admit ATI and Bargain Basement Low End Cards belong together in the same sentence.

Yah hardware fanboys are hilarious. Let's have one company for everything so they can jack the price up and **** everyone...kinda like Apple does. No thanks I like the competition when it comes to hardware and ATI is not THAT far behind nVidia and sometimes it's ahead when you compare price/performance ratio. But fanboys don't look at that sort of thing.

I have tried it, its good but not as good as AA or SS. I would say it give 2/3 of the AA quality and blurrs abit but the BIG advantage is that it has really 0 impact on ur FPS.

Well, for example... When I bought my HD 5850, I fancied the Fermi but I already own an electric heater.

I mean, it was summer anyway. I just wanted to play games. And saved myself a few pounds in the process!
