Spend a lil more and get ATI 6970/580GTX depending on your MB.

Problem is I have a dell xps(8100) I got it cheap and at time was cheaper then iindividual components due to coupons and incentives. So I don't think my mobo is really good for any real high end card sadly I might try the 5500 series mentioned

IF you go 5500 the DDR5 version is the one to get.. makes a big difference compared to the DDR2 version (about 30%+), the GT430 is good but only if priced accordingly.

    Thanks everyone,

After looking at the cards suggested and doing some google searches on their size, I believe I am going twith the HD 6870.

I would love to get a HD 6950 2 gb but im worried it will not fit in my Dell Studio XPS 8100 case sadly.

HAs anyone had any expierience or knowledge that a 6950 will fit in the 8100 case?

OP what EVER you buy make sure you can return it. So many just read some site and take it as gospel. No two people will have the same system and when testing your never using your home computer its a system set up ONLY for testing so you will get great results.

it should as the GTX 260 was an option as well and IF Dell sticks to the ATX specifications (which set the limits for layout, cooling, power etc) the 6950 will fit as it too is within the ATX specification.

Yea, prob give it a try probaly.

Just i seen reviews on newegg that states that people with full size cases had trouble fitting the card while I have a micro tower. Just kinda hard to bite that if it dont fit ill lose about 50$ from a restocking fee.
