    Default Ryzen 1700 / Gtx 1070 - Low Fps?

    Well...
I bought a new computer with good configuration:
    Asus Prime B350 Plus
    Ryzen 1700
    Evga Gtx 1070 SC
    16gb 2666hz

All games that I play in 1080P ultra, makes me a good visualization and fps (150+)

When I play Rift, with normal vision, solo grid, I take a 60~70fps..
But when have many persons on screen (Zone Events), my fps drops to 20~30...

I dont know... is a bug, problema with my Rift configuration, bad otimization?
Rift isn't multithread and 64Bits now?

    Any consideration is important!
playing this way disrupts performance in raids!

Rift has an old engine and does not really benefit from modern cpu and gpu architecture. The cpu also plays a more important role than the gpu, so the cpu should be as high clocked as possible.

I guess Rift runs better with an old cpu that is clocked up to 5 GHz than with a modern 8 core ryzon cpu.

For a new computer why didn't you go with a GTX 1080? It's roughly 30% better than the 1070 which is huge in terms of a video card improvement. I'm playing on ultra at 150+ fps, and I've never seen it drop below 115.

Here in my country, the diference between gtx 1070 and 1080 is so expensive =/
But I think the big problem is the CPU!

I have good fps in other multithread games

    @Shhhh
    What is your CPU?

Rift does not use most of the cores of your CPU, and turbo boost speed is slightly higher on i7-7820HK, also Rift may run better on Intel. And because of different video cards direct comparison of fps does not make sense. ZE fps is not relevant for raiding, and 60~70fps which you see outsize of ZE is enough for comfortable raiding.

Rift sees the most benefit from larger Cache sizes and CPU frequencies. GPU only helps so much, but it's bottleneck tends to be your CPU. This also means that low-latency high-speed RAM also helps Rift, especially when there are a lot of other players around.

Your GTX 1070 is more than enough to eliminate the GPU as Rift's bottleneck. Try to overclock that Ryzen 1700 to 3.4 GHz, that will help a lot (should be doable on stock cooling). If your RAM supports it, OC'ing it to DDR4-3000 will also help tremendously.

Finally, double check what throughput your HDD/SSD has. Fetching character data to display can require a lot of disk access. If you are playing Rift on a normal 7200RPM HDD, you are going to see more slowdown than if it was being run from a SSD.
