Default Game Crashing "Rift has encountered an Error"

    Hi all,

I'm currently downloading Rift through Glyph, but concerned. I hit "Play", the screen goes black and I get a cursor icon like it might let me play and load, but then the game completely crashes and I get "Rift has encountered an error." I get error2005:0152 when I try to send the error report. Error report finally went through, so disregard that unless it might be of help.

I've tried googling and trouble shooting from what I found, which wasn't much. My clock syns automatically. I tried closing running processes and what not that aren't Microsoft related. Rift's still crashing for me.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Try going through these crashing troubleshooting steps to see if they help get you up and running.

If you're still having trouble, try updating your video card driver and launch the game again.

    I hope this helps!

I'll try these and reply, GM Fasti! I *did* get the game going with an older install that wasn't through Glyph. It worked fine until it crashed after maybe an hour? -- I was afk. I tried restarting today, and same crash error.
How can I locate the exact error that I'm getting to post that information; it might be helpful? It keeps saying it's sent my error log every time I have tried to send it. Is there anyway for you'll to access that?
    Thank you!

Okay, tried all of the suggested steps so far, GM Fasti. Still no success. I could try sharing the error code if I knew how to pull up my error log? I did once, but have forgotten how. Pasting my video card or display information. I downloaded AMD's driver auto-detect and everything is up to date.
