    Default Error 1016

    I get this message when i try to log in game.
    <<Cannot update to the current version at this time.Please try again in a few minutes.>>
    I can log in game normally from my home pc but not from this one i use at store.
    Any ideas?Any help?

    Have you been able to play on that PC in the past? If it's a new install there, it's possible that there is a network issue preventing access to our shards.

    Do you happen to use an application called Untangle on that computer? If so, make sure to add RIFT as an exception in that program.

    Also, take a look at our patching issues troubleshooting steps and make sure to follow the instructions there for adding RIFT to your antivirus and firewall software.

    Both myself and my wife have started getting this error in the last few days too.

    I've never had it before and have been playing Rift on the same comp for the last 12 months.

    It seems to give this error for around 10 minutes and then its fine.

    That's definitely not something we want to leave you stuck with. Try those patching steps and if it's not working for you, go ahead and contact support so we can work with you one on one.
