    Default Failed Network Test

This is what i get when i try doing a trace route as per the below link. Its important to note that my husbands computer which is on the same network does not have a problem connecting.

    tracert auth2.triongames.com

    I get the following error...

    Request Timeout

The server timed out while waiting for the browser's request.

    Reference #2.5df24317.1399001600.0

If you want to save the trace as file, type this:

    Code:
    tracert 208.94.26.140 >> rifttrace.txt
That will save it as a text file in whatever location the command prompt is.

Show us a copy of the working tracert on your husbands PC as well.

    Also do a path ping

    Code:
    pathping 208.94.26.140 >> riftping.txt

It looks like mine is doing the same trace as his is now. Except he can play on his computer, but I cant even get mine to patch anymore. It looks like it is timing out on my computer when Rift runs, and simply giving up.

Can you go ahead and minimize background tasks running on your computer, just in case something is interfering with RIFT as it tries to update? Once that is done, go ahead and shut down the PC.

Next, unplug your modem and router for one minute, then plug in the modem, followed by the router.

After this, restart your PC. Once you are logged into Windows again, try these steps to adjust your DNS settings, hopefully this will clear up some of your previous network issues.

I have already tried minimizing background tasks, rebooting router, and adjusting DNS settings. None of these items helped.

This feels like a firewall issue. Check you installed programs and see if you might have one running you don't know about.

Nothing running that I am not aware of. I triple checked and the windows firewall is turned off.
