PC + tablet + loopbacked VNC connection on a local fast WiFi will give you good performance. Emulating the mouse is the biggest issue, but meh, works for AH stuff and crafting dailies.

This is how you can use your mouse, and keyboard in android. Use it myself on my galaxy, and asus transformer. Works just fine.

I concur with loopback VNC, however the less tech savvy will probably enjoy the simplicity of design, and features of Teamviewer. it's got both an android app, and window/linux/mac installation procedure.
