    Default Rift for MAC?

I haven't seen very much information but has there been any news about Rift releasing on a MAC?

I was considering either building a new machine or just buying a MAC and a nice display.

I typically prefer playing MMO's on a PC but my profession has taken a strong turn down the Apple road and it is what I do all my work on now. Worse comes to worse I guess I can always bootcamp and take that approach.

No plans for Mac support at this time. You would have to run Boot Camp to run it.

    This

Bootcamp has come a long way with Windows 7 x64 support. I currently have a Mac Pro I use for work, I loaded up AoC and FFXIV just to see performance. Worked like a champ!

    Wanna make something of it!

Or Crossover Games, which is what I used for LOTRO back when I was playing it. It's a pretty good alternative to purchasing a brand new Windows OS just to run a few games, although it can take a bit of tweaking to get games to run on Crossover.

Started with EQ, and currently helping out on the Telarapedia while waiting for Rift!

Apparently, Mac web browsers do NOT allow you to use a forum's search function.

    I kid, I kid.

Sorry MAC's are computers but you can draw and colour in pictures of the characters

Not enough people have MAC's to amke it worth a DEV's effort to make it operate under the OS more than likely. And can't you run it on a MAC under Windows operating system ?

    You need a ?

A geek friend of mine did some bench tests using my Mac and my PC which were both similar as to the innards (yeah I know - I ain't no dang geek!).

Results: The Mac machine processed WIN7 faster than the PC processed WIN7. Don't ask - I have no idea nor does it mean anything to me. I just chuckled.

Bottom line: My WIN7 on Mac gives me less problems than my WIN7 on my PC. So far the problems I've had with Snow Leopard (Mac O/S)? Zilch! Go figure!

Never had a problem out of Win7 on my 3 PCs.

MACs are great for people who don't know about the inner workings of computers and don't want to know (speaking in generalities here) and PCs are more for people who like to tinker. That's why my mom and my grandfather both own MACs and I will forever own a PC.
