and now, 60 fps constants, and without GPU Clock
Well, your post was a bit more informative this time around. However, I am not the OP.....lol. And for the record, the OP's rig far exceeds that of any requirement for any MMO currently on the market today. As far as your definition of lag is concern, Mr Webster believes your a bit wrong. Here is the Official Definition of the word in Technological terms:

In this case, because we are all discussing a graphical issue and problem, we take the last part of that definition; "Overworked Hardware". If you stress a VC, CPU, or HDD, you will experience lag. In the form of graphical interpretation, but, non the less lag.
As far as your GPU/CPU issue, you stated that the GPU will never cause lag. Clearly this is wrong.
And finally: Whether there are 100 players or 1 player in a capital city of any MMO, with the hardware that most folks including myself have posted to own, NO GODDAM MMO should be CPU capped. It's the way the game was written to write, decipher, and release the code, the pace at which the Trion Servers handle these codes, and ultimately the style in which it is being delivered to your rig that will decide the infamous "FPS". Trion clearly dropped the ball graphically with Rift. They saw the Mickey Mouse B.S. Blizzard releases year after year and probably thought "This, Rift that is, is an upgrade at any FPS". Sadly they were right....lol. But like Tim Allen in Home Improvement used to say, we hardcore gamers want more POWER!!!!!! "Ra Ra Ra"......
