    Default Trojan horse PSW.Generic9.BWJO

AVG Security registered version says this file

    C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game\rift-live
    And rift-alpha.exe are a : Trojan horse PSW.Generic9.BWJO
    Detected by multiple threat detection.
Anyone else get the same result?

    Cheers all

I had this happen the other day. AVG flagged up rift-live.exe as the above trojan. I let AVG quarantine the file (mainly because it wouldn't shut up about it otherwise), and ran a repair on Rift. Everything has been fine since (Rift runs fine and the warning has not come back), but I suspect it was a false positive on AVG's part in the first place.

    A bit like a rabbit, but horse-shaped.

Could be false positives, but most likely some malicious little program is integrating itself in your Rift .exes, download and use the free trial full version of Malwarebytes Anti-malware, that should fix the .exes, if they're unrecoverable, they may just get deleted, running selfpatchalpha and using the recover option will restore them.

I've never had that specific detection, but had very similar problems a while back.
