Default Just bought game, incredibly low FPS

    Hey all,
I played the trial for RIFT a fairly long time ago, when the trial was first available and I could run the game on high settings with a constant 30+ FPS.
I just got the game yesterday, before the 1.5 patch and it ran terribly. I have the game on the lowest settings possible and I'm still getting less than 20 FPS constantly. Game still runs bad after 1.5 patch.

This just running around low population areas. I dread to think what would happen if I was actually running around with a lot of other players.

    Running:
    Windows 7 64 bit
    4GB RAM
    2.7GHz Quadcore
    ATI Radeon 5700 HD

Something else I should probably mention, when I was prompted to installed DirectX (whatever version, 9 I assume) and visual 2008 distributables, I declined since I assumed I already had them from all the other games that always want to install them.

Head for the DX9 download and install it, if you have an older version your 3D mapping could be well out of date.

What's the average you're getting right now? I usually tend to get about 58-59fps in PvP with almost max graphics (I run other stuff at the same time when waiting for queue's to pop, so max graphics kind of lags a bit) - my rig is below in the sig, I'm running DX9 and slightly tweaked my Catalyst Control Center to better suit smooth 3D gaming.

If you don't have CCC - get it. ;)

I have CCC but I don't know what to do with it. What is a good way to set it up?
