Question Advice on new PC setup

'Lo there. I would just like to ask a quick question to the tech savvy folk out there, as I am currently in the planning stages of putting together my first gaming rig.

I am looking at purchasing the following items to add to a mid size case, 700w psu, optical drive and hard drive that I been given by a friend.

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail
    MSI GeForce GTX 560 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
    MSI P67A-G45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard ** B3 REVISION **
    Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/AM2+/AM3/775/1155/1156/1366)

This lot from Overclockers UK just about hits my budget of 450 quid. Just wanted to ask you clever folk out there if there are any better suggestions you would make in regards to the hardware list above, and the performance I could get out of this or any other combination?

I may add an Solid state drive at a later date when I have more cash handy.

    Thanks for reading.

I just put together my current rig and had done a ton of reading on the current hardware. The i5 will be great; I have a p67 board which has worked great so far, just doesn't wake from sleep correctly, Still got trouble shoot that. I like the nvidia cards and a lot of people gave the 560 a great review. I might consider the ASUS gtx 560 ti fermi version of the card but that's your call.

It's 10 bucks more than the MSI gtx 560 ti. But if you're just getting hte gtx 560 then it's about 70 bucks more. Not sure which one exactly you were looking at.

    Good Luck.

Ok thanks for the info. I had a look at all the 560 options including the Ti but decided to go with one of the 1GB 460 cards instead because I saw one on offer, and it meant I could fit a Solid State Drive into the budget. Will be putting the lot together tomorow if they deliver on time!

    Looks good to me.

Just a heads up, the Hyper 212+ is a HUGE cooler, very tall. It will nearly touch the opposite side of your case.
Craig: [incredulous] Is that a reference from the Archbishop of Canterbury?!

    Now that's the spirit!

And the Hyper 212 is just tiny compared with a real cooler like the Noctua NH-C14/NH-D14
