    Default Random Coin lock

I log in tonight and low and behold I am coin locked....

I verified my IP hasn't changed and I don't log in from anywhere else, nor do I have a second account. I've had the same public dhcp IP for 4 months or so. My internal IP changed about a week ago but I was on last night with out the coin lock.

This happened one other time but I can't say for certain my IP had not changed that time.
I've only got one machine that will support the game, so... what am I missing... I tried to do a search on this but found dozens of coin lock threads, but none of them appeared to be this issue.

Just use the Unlock E-mail dude. Just deal with it and use the Unlock code in the e-mail, and if you don't have access to the e-mail, I suspect you have more issue then you've said.

There are some things that make a computer look like a different one, even under the same IP.

I'm not sure if it applies to your case, but if you create new characters on a new shard, they will most likely be coin locked. Or, if you play on one shard for a while and then switch to play on another shard (on existing characters), they might become coin locked. I know that happened to me when I did a bit of shard-hopping a while ago.

The good thing is that once you enter the coin lock code for a given IP, it should whitelist that address which means you should not get coin locked from it again. At least in theory.

I logged in yesterday on an old character from a different shard that I haven't used since I moved cities. This coin locked me. So yeah, it seems to remember character and server details.
