Default Upgrading PC Need Advice! PLS!?

Ok so im not much of a pc techie but need to upgrade my pc and i've realized i cant enjoy the game i pay for because i cant raid or even play without having 10 to 15 fps in a dungeon. My pc is **** i guess since i can only play on low and my fps is like max 18 with no one around. I was thinking of getting a power supply of 550w and a graphics card of the GTX 560 as i've done some research and found these upgrades would allow me to benifit alot from. I would like to play on at least high settings since Rift is a great game to look at and would allow me to enjoy the visuals as im missing out playing on low right now >.<

I would really appreciate the help if anyone can give me further knowledge or advice on upgrading my pc as ive never done this before. I also dont have much $$$ to spend on these upgrades but am willing to fork up some money.

Feel free to ask about certain components of my pc or specs and will try to find out

    Appreciate the help

Rift is very heavy CPU dependent even if you buy a GTX560 Ti, you wont see any big improvement if your CPU cant handle it and bottlenecks everything.

What are the rest specs of your PC?

Your pc is almost 4 years and very weak generally, apart from the fact its only a 2.0GHz one, its pretty much 4 years old.

If you want to enjoy the game you pretty much need a new CPU, RAM first then a GPU.

Highly suggest i5 2500, get 4GB of RAM at least, if you want more get more, but with only 2 that you have its just slower loading of everything..NPC's etc.

    CPU:i5 2500
RAM:4GB or 8GB of DDR3 1333MHz should be good, can get higher if you want i would suggest 8GB and obviously Windows 7 64bit.
    GPU:560 Ti or 6950.
Power Supply:Its much safer to get from 650 to 850W PSU, in case something goes wrong along the years or whatever else, generally suggest the least 650W.

With the above you can easily be at High, Ultra actually without shadows and AA and have awesome performance.

No clue where you got that ram from. That looks like laptop ram. You may want to give my site a look, particularly the systems build page. Looks like your price range is targeting around the 'rank 2' build.

You will need to replace your motherboard as well. That RAM is for a laptop - you'll end up needing 240 pin (not 204 pin) memory.

As for parts, I recommend http://www.newegg.com for computer parts. Free shipping on a lot of things, easily sortable list, and good customer service.

Be smart and spend the extra cash on the 2500k.

Right on bout the MOBO and RAM.

Newegg.com is easy to find things on, but the shipping is higher than free like everything amazon sells directly and they have terrible service in my personal experience. They've sent me the wrong thing a couple times and made me pay to ship it back.

Hmm, never had issues with newegg before. I've ordered 8 full builds and a few dozen individual parts before, and the only interactions I've had with their CS came when I ordered a board that came in bad, and RMA'd it - smooth as glass.

I guess just like brand preference, it comes down to personal experience.

I like them for some things, and not others. I have shop runner now so returns are free. I wouldn't do research anywhere else though.

5-600 will get you a long way now, especially if you're willing to reuse your case, and accessories like KB/M.

As for being 16, get a job if it won't screw up your grades (it might help them) you will be a better man down the road for it.
