What system do you run, and did you have to reinstall your OS when the HDD crashed?

Hi, no my OS is same and fine on my main harddrive!
The harddrive that died was a 2nd drive wich i had RIFT on.
    And i run Vista 64

But it wont let me install RIFT now on my main drive for some reason.

This is because of the pathing in the registry for the old rift, do you know anything about regedit and how to manuver there?

Edit: can you also supply the whole error message here also?

    oks follow these steps

    1. click start
    2. in the searchbar type: regedit and hit enter
    3. under Edit, click Find and type: Rift Game
    4. hit enter.

Now it should locate 3 different things RIFT - Patcher, RJLauncher1 and RIFT
these should all be located on the driverletter of your old HDD e.g d:\RIFT game\
Delete these 3 enteries. and try to install again.

Ah goodie, i forgot to add that you need to restart the computer for the change to usualy take full effect. But good that it worked. I would not use the old drive for important stuff since it stopped working like that before.
