Default Nvidia users, movies and Rift

So...for the Nvidia users, is there any working way to watch a movie and play Rift without it going green and black?
I got a GTS 450 and as they other Nvidia people know, it *hates* Rift

Did you try the enabling the low quality renderer?

Play rift in a different resolution than your desktop.

Yes, I'm aware of the options that have been suggested in the forums but that isnt a solution, its a work around.

And in this instance none of the options provided helped outside of a reboot. I don't have this problem with anything *but* Rift, that warrants a post in the tech forum asking if I had missed anything on the issue.

Yep, normally that works but in this instance none of the standard solutions seemed to help. I had to reboot a couple of times, it sucks that this isnt working properly ugh.
