What exactly is the difference between focus and target? Am I correct in assuming focus is pretty much a secondary target that doesn't change your current target displayed on the UI?

    Can you do something like:

    cast [@mouseover,help][@target,help][@targetoftarget,help] SomeHealSpell

I'd like to have it cast on mouse over if friend, or target if friend or failing the first 2 the targetoftarget. Does "help" actually work?

Have they even documented macro options (and I don't mean slash commands, those aren't macros) anywhere yet? The wiki site was to basic and doesn't really include anything beyond "cast @target ABILITY".

Not to sure on this exact moment, to you and the few post below yours im going to double check a lot of the macro strings. A lot of changes have been made sense last phase.

    Thanks for the information!

I only use macro's for convenience of things like mounting/running on the fly, but I like some of the stuff you had in here. Clear all raid marks is definitely a useful macro to bind to my keypad for canceling the old markers. Other ones have situational use, but I think I'll incorporate a bunch into my new setup.

+1 for sticky or something to make this easy to find later!

Edit: Just saw the save and load equip commands. GOLDEN! Having equipment swapping hotkeyed, or at least a click away on a hotbar is fantastic. I am now in love with your thread. Thanks!

for my bard buffs, it didn't let me make 1 macro with more than one ability in it, could be a bug that will get fixed, but on last beta making a macro with more than 1 skill in it wasn't possible.
It's not a bug. Trion disabled the ability to macro more than one ability to prevent excessive automation.

Yup, that section was updated to reflect that. Other things will have to be updated once this phase starts. Suposedly there are more changes to macros in next patch.

Nice slash command guide and basic macros. I love that Rift included this from the get go.

I find it almost humorous you included a macro for assist. I got flamed by my Iron Tomb team mates when I asked if everyone was using an assist macro (on our main tank) to avoid hitting the squirrels. They said by using the markers, that was better than using assist. What idiots.

Anyway, definitely a vote for sticky.

Lol, yeah everyone assisting def helps where it counts. Ppl often do accidental tab targets, which can break CC. Thanks for the support.

So, I can't bind all my bard buffs into one button?
