    0.7.4
    • You can now also track for raids, experts or other activities. I have created a lfm.txt where you can add activities to be tracked. To activate the lfm search mode you have to change the config.ini: lfm = yes
    • with strg + v you can quickly answer a player who is looking for other players (lfm)

    Hello, it's me again ;)
    Of course I tried to use your newest version (it says 0.7.5 btw) but something is flawed for me. The only response I get is "use /log in Rift to start tracking" regardless of whether I do that or not. If I turn the lfm off in the config, everything works fine and I can see events again but as soon as I turn it on, the "use /log in Rift to start tracking" is back.
    Any ideas?

    What is your used serverlocation? Have you ever tried to delete the config so that the program can create a new one?

    My serverlocation is eu and yes, I did. Creating a new config works and I see the events but as soon as I turn lfm on, same problem.
    I tried looking deeper into your .py and thought I had found my problem: my log.txt is in a completely different place then the ones you check. So I added the place of my logfile but that didn't fix it unfortunately. Still the same issue.
    I'm running out of ideas now :/

    Strange, my program looks in this folder for the logfile
    Code:
    def logfilecheck():
        while True:
            log_exists = False
            log_file = ""
            if os.path.isfile(os.path.expanduser('~\Documents\RIFT\Log.txt')):
                log_file = os.path.expanduser('~\Documents\RIFT\Log.txt')
                log_exists = True
            elif os.path.isfile('C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game\Log.txt'):
                log_file = 'C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game\Log.txt'
                log_exists = True
            elif os.path.isfile('C:\Programs\RIFT~1\Log.txt'):
                log_file = 'C:\Programs\RIFT~1\Log.txt'
                log_exists = True
            if log_exists:
                logtext = codecs.open(log_file, 'r', "utf-8")
                return logtext
            guioutput = "Couldn't find the logfile.\nPlease use /log in Rift to create a logfile."
            v.set(guioutput)
            time.sleep(5)

    I wasn't sure if it really does. It looks like it only checks C: and the usual places for program files, which is why I added in my filepath, so it looked like this
    Code:
    def logfilecheck():
        while True:
            log_exists = False
            log_file = ""
            if os.path.isfile(os.path.expanduser('~\Documents\RIFT\Log.txt')):
                log_file = os.path.expanduser('~\Documents\RIFT\Log.txt')
                log_exists = True
            elif os.path.isfile('C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game\Log.txt'):
                log_file = 'C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game\Log.txt'
                log_exists = True
            elif os.path.isfile('C:\Programs\RIFT~1\Log.txt'):
                log_file = 'C:\Programs\RIFT~1\Log.txt'
                log_exists = True
            elif os.path.isfile('D:\Documents\RIFT\Log.txt'):
                log_file = 'D:\Documents\RIFT\Log.txt'
                log_exists = True
            if log_exists:
                logtext = codecs.open(log_file, 'r', "utf-8")
                return logtext
            time.sleep(10)
    Maybe you can tell me what I did wrong?

    Try if the latest version 0.7.6 works for you.

    Weirdly enough, same as before.
    With lfm = yes: "Couldn't find the logfile. Please use /log in Rift to create a logfile."
    With lfm = no: the event tracking works normally

    (and yes, I deleted everything from before and used a completely fresh set of files)

    Does the folder have special rights so that the program has no access to it? Have you tried running the program as admin? You're also sure there's a log.txt in the folder?

    The folder has read-only, as most of the folders have, should not be a problem at all since you're not changing anything, you only read it anyway.
    Running as admin gives exactly the same output (even tried with deleting config again so that it creates a new one).
    And yes, I am absolutely sure because it was there for weeks and it still is, I'm looking at it rn

    (btw we can take this into pm if you'd like your thread to not be spammed with this individual problem anylonger)

    0.8.0

    - added web-api support for prime
    - the event display on Vigil no longer requires a log file

    Wonderful little addon Bamul, thanks.

    I use it outside Rift on a second screen and changed some settings. (Color, unstable only)
    But the thing I would like to change is the font. Slidely bigger than it shows up now.
    And I wasn't able to find that in the .ini file.

    Is it possible to change that and if yes, where should I look?
