    Default [ADDON] Resource Radar

    Playing around with the *.Map.* api functions and came up with this.

    Displays nearby resource nodes around the middle of the screen with icons matching what they are.

    Fishing nodes show:
    School of Fish = Quick Minnow
    School of Clever Fish = Octopus
    School of Rare Fish = Eel
    Sunken Boat = Snowman (couldn't find a boat icon, and snowmen are cool!)

    Rest of the resource types should show the icon of the raw resource.

    Since the direction the player is facing isn't exposed to addons, it attempts to guess and rotates the display to match. It will get confused if you strafe or move backwards and will only update direction when moving. Can be disabled.
    There's a crosshair in the middle of the display as a reference point. Can be disabled.

    Code:
    /redar
      Toggles entire display on and off (default: on)
    /redar crosshair
      Toggles crosshair on and off (default: on)
    /redar rotate
      Toggles display rotation (default: on)
    /redar iconsize
      Displays current icon size
    /redar iconsize XX
      Sets icon size to XX (range 10-100)

    Best thing ever! I don't have to mouseover every damn node on the minimap now! \o/

    Oh, and remove the crosshair. :P

    Added option to display distance to node next to the icon (toggle)
    /redar distance

    Added option to set the alpha for the ui to x% (0-100)
    /redar alpha x

    Could you consider changing the Sunken Boat icon to dim_boat_01.dds
    Found it on the Snowy Roat Boat item on the Magelo RIFT database.

    Can someone figure out how to add the Starfall stuff to this one? I don't know where to find the names of the plant/ore stuff.

    The names you can get by hovering your mouse over the item. Here's what I found for English:

    Default No Fish

    Unfortunately there are no fishing nodes displayed at all. Not in the original zones nor in the zones that came with the dlc's. Someone guess, what to do?

    Do you have the Track Fish ability enabled? Press p, General tab, scroll all the way down.

    thanks for your answer, but "Track Fish" is enabled. I do see the fish-swarm-symbol of every kind of swarm in the minimap. And its the same with all my chars, not only with one. I have multiple chars with fishing abilities between 180 and 525. It's all the same: no fish-display in the addon.
    Here's what i've tried until now:
    - /reloadui
    - deinstalled and reinstalled the addon multiple times
    - experimented around with the lua-file: changed the symbols of the different kind of fish swarms to symbols of wood, flowers or ore (from which I know they were displayed from the addon for nodes of the right kind)

    On the other hand: if this is no general problem (and it don't seem so, because noone else posted about this behaviour), is there maybe a general setting in the game or a switch in the addon, that i may have dismissed?

    I think no one has used it for fish tracking (I use ResourceTracker), as it seems the ID of fish is incorrect (just 1 character). Change

    I used your references for the new resource nodes but the mines are not showing up. I see the little marker on my minimap and can access it just fine but neither types of ore is showing in Redar.

    EDIT: Ok, I got it working again.
