Default API function to play sound?

I'm the author of several addons for other games, and I'd like to write a couple for Rift's addon beta. A simple project I'd like to do involves playing sounds. I've read the addon documentation, but I haven't seen any sound/audio-related API functions. Has anyone found a function like this? I know this is just a beta without a very complete API so far, but I'm hopeful that maybe I've just missed it Thanks.

In order to sound audio alerts (sound-effects) via your AddOn, you could use RAA:

    http://forums.riftgame.com/rift-gene...dio-alert.html

Just write 'PlayRAA[alert.wav]' to the non-combat logfile (write it to an invisible channel for example), will tell RAA to play the alert.wav file. You can play any custom sound you like, as long as the file is present under /sound in the RAA install. (And the player has told RAA to allow AddOns to sound alerts)

(This is why I added this option to RAA in the first place -- as a service to AddOn builders. )
