    Default Does it already exist?

Not sure if threads already exist for this query, as I don't what search criteria to get effective results.

Does an add-on exist for databasing alt's and their bank/bag 'stock' that I can centrally query the total holdings & whereabouts of an item on all my characters w/out having to log them individually?

I know of a very popular one for another MMO I play (if you play that game & use the add-on, you'll know the one) & could really use a similar one in Rift.

    All advice/information welcome.

It's a sorta dodgy implementation, but Baggotry does that at the moment. You get a tooltip showing how many of an item you have in bank and inventory, and how many (total) are available on all your alts.

Later I plan to add some kind of guild bank tracking thing too. Also it'll move into Alternia, which is the alt-tracking addon I am totally going to put time into sometime when I am not doing something else. (I have severe ADHD, for which I'm on amphetamines. I have a LOT of projects.)

Edited to add: The rift forums have NO ban on talking about other MMOs. Even saying you like them better, in fact. So you don't have to be coy. We can say that WoW had Altoholic and Armory, both of which provided that kind of functionality. (And about which my one major gripe was: I KNOW ALL MY ALTS HAVE A BLOODY HEARTHSTONE.)

You can play WoW in any MMO. You don't have to play WoW in RIFT. Oh, and no, RIFT is not a WoW clone. Not having fun any more? Learn to play, noob! I don't speak for Riftui, but I moderate stuff there. Just came back? Welcome back! Here's what's changed. (Updated for 2.5!)

You can try out ImhoBags. It aims to completely replace the default inventory windows once the API is mature enough to allow it. Until that happens it's sort of altoholic, tracking the inventory of your alt's bags, bank, mail, currency, equipment, wardrobe and guild banks.

Ah, OK... & yes, Altoholic is what I'm after.

But, as seems to be the case, the UI is still too new to allow some of the add-on content that WoW has, then I'll wait until add-on authors (those best placed to know about that stuff) release their wares for us to use.

    Thanks...

I haven't tried Baggotry yet (I'm not sure what to make of the name, seebs!), but Imhothar's Bags have been as close to an Altoholic as I've seen. Mouseover on an item in your bags or bank shows you who has what, how many, can be set to work cross-faction and includes guild banks, and that alone has made my life infinitely easier!

Baggotry's mostly a slash-command wrapper on LibBaggotry, which is a utility library for stuff like "I want to split all my lumber into stacks of 5". I am moving the item tooltip stuff into an addon named Alternia which will, someday, be a thing for listing characters and their traits.
