Default any way to force noncombat logging active by default ?

I've been trying to find if it was possible to have the noncombat log activated at all time but couldn't find any documentation about it.

    my questions are :

    1- is it possible
    a- if so how ?
b- if not, would the add-on API allow to force it?

    Thanks !

Do you mean the /log command? Once on, it stays on.

I'd like that it lasts through until disabled.

So that wouldn't have to re-enable it every log on.

not at present. I use a tiny AHK script that simply checks if the log is being updated and if not sends /log to the chat console if Rift is the active application.

I don't think log activation should be accessible via the addon API, too invasive, but having a 'sticky' setting that persists between logins may be more acceptable. One for Zorba and co. to answer

The combatlog can be kept turned on all the time by editing the Rift config file. Maybe the same is possible for the noncombatlog. Remember, though, log files can get _very_ large if not split up manually and _will_ slow down your game eventually.

I use a batch file to flush the log just before starting Rift, to avoid that.

I've looked at the rift.cfg file, there is indeed an entry for the combatlog, but none is present for the non-combat one.

Zorba : would it be a lot of work to get that too ?

    Thanks !

Ah, you might not want to advertise that you have a bot running (yes, that is a form of botting)

If my account is suspended for such then so be it.

I thank whatever gods there are that your opinion is just your own lol... common sense and an appreciation of intention will hopefully prevail.

Well, what this shows is that there is a need for it.
