    I was using 0.8.8 last night in River of Souls. No errors to report. However, I have a suggestion for Herold Gaurath: could you extend the warning timers for raising the dead and that cast he interrupts to 4 or 5 seconds warning? Is that feasable with the encounter mechanics?

    The reason I ask is because I was picking up the adds from the coffins, but was the only player with any boss mod enabled, and the 2 second warning was too short to warn the raid.

    I'll look in to the timings for them, see if I can't see any reliable pattern. The alert is based on the cast bar only, it then starts a timer for when they'll spawn. We group during the cast, and move say 5s in to the 7s timer, I could let the alert last until the timer ends if that'll be of more use? (a 9s alert, with countdown)

    Also, there are some minor issues with 0.8.9, but they are non-critical and can be avoided or require lots of factors to combine to throw an error. These have already been fixed, so if you'd feel the extended alert would be more useful (or I missed your point with my example with the timer) I'll add them with the next update.

    One of the errors some people may see is thrown by SafesRaidManager, it's non-critical and is the first stage of Res tracking. If you get it, just reloadui to be safe, if you're feeling brave just continue, shouldn't really effect KBM at all. There are certain res skills triggering data in the wrong order, but there's a fix done to at least stop the errors and leave it behind the scenes so I can trace the accuracy. Why I'm doing this will become more apparent soon.

    Another glitch is shadows not being initiated correctly on the first show of objectives in the objective tracker (you'll probably not notice until I've said so), and finally there's a fluke error with Grug which I managed to witness first hand tonight which has been fixed.

    The final error involves the options for Cast Filter colors. This will also be fixed and is a direct result of the way Alert and Timer custom color settings have moved over.

    Anyhow, the explanations are larger than the current minor glitches in 0.8.9, if you can live with them you'll need to do nothing, otherwise 0.8.8 should rule out at least the res one (Grug one is rare). For those technically minded, you can copy the SafesRaidManager folder from 0.8.8 to 0.8.9 to fix the Res errors without breaking it.

    Are the necessary casts that need interrupting on Herald (or other bosses) on consistant timers? Meaning, does he Raise the Dead every 30 seconds exactly, or based on a percentage of his health, or does he cast whenever he feels like?

    If it is one of the first two options, then it should be easy to figure out the timing and adjust the countdown timers accordingly. If it is the third option, then I understand why you based the timer on his cast bar. And it takes him two seconds to cast Raise the Dead. Gotcha.

    As for Safe's Raid Manager; assuming your changes don't break multiple addons, you could commit a change yourself, or get someone like me to do it with your provided code. Then bump the Version string in the toc. You would need SRM's author's permission of course.

    When I was researching the timer wasn't accurate, but that's because I forgot to time in the context of the phases. I'll go over the data and videos again with the 2 spawns to each ground phase in mind, I "should" be able to figure out the timer. I'll keep an eye on percentage correlation also.

    I would like to apologize for the recent random error's however, the engine is receiving yet another conversion for future expansion (plug-ins in mind, as you mentioned earlier). I've said before, but I'll burden everyone with it again, I do not have a large test base, so any testing done before an upload is mainly what my wife and I can do, which doesn't help for ruling out large permutations.

    Anyhow, any bugs found by myself or the people using KBM (including your kind self) can and will be fixed within a version, so please keep in contact. I'm happy to receive errors in public forums or PM's (as some of you do, and thank you).

    I'm still experimenting with LUA, as it's a new language for me (as of KBM and Safe's Raid Manager (both mine)), so now I'm down to fine tuning and optimization. Although I'm still extremely bitter with Trion for introducing hard client crashes in to my addon without any notification via the test server, so I feel I'm fighting an uphill battle.

    At the point of f it, I've been chasing my tail ever since they did that, since I literally had to rewrite and kludge KBM from that point onward. le sigh.

    Default 0.9.1 Development news.

    Currently in development for 0.9.1. Full support for Guilded Prophecy. And a minor fix to PlayerBuff triggers sometimes being ignored (possibly the last fix needed to the engine).

    There's a new method in place to invalidate times if the addon picks up in a fight mid-way through. It'll be a personal preference if you wish to reset your own encounter data for this.

    Default 0.9.4 Development news

    First I'd like to thank Toc for supplying the first batch of Russian translations. These will be making their appearance, and should be expanded on from this point forward.

    I intend on expanding cast bars to work with multiple units of the same name. So this will require some engine changes for them. It will allow plug-ins to use the engine entirely, and allow for "adds" and "trash" to start utilizing KBM's core alert and timer engine.

    Finally, I'm hoping to unlock the records tab. Sorry it's taken so long, but it keeps getting pushed down the priority list.

    Is there any chance that KBM will die with you if you get bored with the game or is there any other developer helping you?

    Mostly speaking for Infernal Dawn coming probably late February.

    I know its a random question, dont wanna see an awesomely progressing add-on die ;)
