Please do not make any healbot based Addon. in my honest opinion thistype of addon made healing a joke click-win function.

I healed a server first competent guild in progression from bc-wotlk and i HATED seeing this addon used. if you as a healer are not competent enough to cycle heals watch debuffs and keep your raid up you should NOT be healing. its that simple, a addon should not give you the ability to click for purps.


This post after a heated argument by a "healer" that was complaining about it being to hard to keep 5 people up and he use to be a raid healer that ect ect ect. you can fill in the rest simply he was unable to heal because he was crippled by the use of this type of addon. Or it augmented his inability to heal with software needs. and i am strongly against this.

You can already do this with mouseovers macros. So I guess you should get mad at the Trion Devs for writing the UI.

here's how to set up RIFT to do HealBot-style healing using no addons, just built-in game features:

1. make macros for each of your heal spells, using the @mouseoverui option in each one.
2. assign the macros to action bar buttons
3. bind keyboard keys of your choice to the action bar buttons
4. (optional) enable the option in Settings to use the raid UI for parties also

now, when you're in a raid, simply mouse over the bar for the person you want to heal, and press the key for the spell you want to use. this isn't limited to heals, it can also be used for shields, cleanses, etc.

I think you are barking up the wrong tree. You are telling people whose entire purpose in being here is to allow different people to play the game different ways if that's what they enjoy, not to allow a kind of play that you personally don't enjoy.
