After waiting almost two hours to get on yesterday, we have decided to move our guild elsewhere. The fact that this shard has become so over run with non rpers who grief and troll as well as making it hard for others to actually log in and play - we've decided to go and let our rp take over a low pop pve shard. If most of us hadn't prepaid our subs for a year then I can say that a good majority of us would be quitting all together.

I wish you the best for you and your guild. I agree with you that the queue time and the lag are quite annoying and we'll eventually see more guilds transfer off Faeblight as time goes. Sadly, it can help the server to a certain extend.

Yes, an exodus of the RP guilds from the RP server is a great fix.

Echoing an earlier poster: How is driving away RP guilds from an RP server "fixing" anything? This is going to be the death of us if it keeps up.

Not to state an obvious answer, but he most likely meant that an overpopulated server corrects itself by people transfering off just like an underpopulated server fixes itself by people transfering off... That makes more sense in my head than on paper.

Anyhow, statement made independant of the RP status of the people transfering.

I still have not seen this 'RP Griefing' the OP is talking about. This may be because I've yet to see the 'RP' either.

That doesn't change the fact that driving roleplay guilds away from the only RP server is a BAD thing.

I have been lucky to not experience griefing yet, but it was only recently that I started actively and regularly roleplaying beyond the IC back-and-forths my leveling partner and I have while out and about.

That said, I have seen no shortage of roleplay.

Warning you to give up on a failed server, which is now closed, is trolling? Everyone said how great Faeblight is, people go there... now it's full so people leave. That's the way this system works. Want to fix it, vote with your feet and get all the real RP players take over three springs. You have the tools to fix the problem.

I still don't understand how you can see roleplayers leaving the ONLY RP shard as a solution. This is OUR server.

I do not think that RP guilds or players leaving Faeblight is a good solution.

I do think that anyone who is having their gaming experience destroyed by lag or overcrowding will either ask for more resources for the Faeblight server or will move on.

I also expect a % of players will leave the game rather than relocate.

Thanks Duvan, and like I stated originally, had not most of our guild paid in advance for game time we would have just cancelled and moved on. We will definitely miss people like you - your good deeds have not gone unnoticed on the shard!

Quite sorry to see you go Immauri! Was enjoying your posts on Role Playing.

That's the real loss here, folks. Immauri was actively attempting to get more RP on to the server with positive "how to, where to, etc" posts on RP. Setting up Lore events too. I can understand the frustration, but I think the "Exodus" won't last forever and we'll get ourselves back to being the "real" Faeblight. Does Trion need to step in and fix some things...absolutely! The Community has to step up a bit as well. I know, I know, I expect to hear the "we shouldn't have to" but unfortunately real life intrudes even our fantasy world, but that kind of reply is just sticking your head in the sand. So, we can either stand up and dust ourselves off, Let Trion know we're unhappy about some things ( Keeping in mind when you send your "issues" to Trion you get more flies with honey than with vinegar) we do a bit of policing on our own...and spam Immauri in PM for his/her (Really sorry Immuari! Can't tell from your Avatar) return.
