I help new players get mounts on Dionysia on the defiant side. I've also been hooking up new players with bags when they get a mount. It can get expensive. Although I run my own guild, <Philanthropy>, I use my own plat for helping new players.

If anyone would like to donate and help let me know via PM on here or talk to me in-game on Dionysia. I could use spellspun silk to make 18 slotters!

If Fires of Heaven had not barged into Faeblight chat as soon as they got here, and announced, "Hi, We're here to get the shard firsts for HK, since you guys haven't been able to yet," they probably would have had a warmer reception, lol.
I wish I could recall the names of the players bragging about how they were so much better than evey shard native.

As a rule, if I see a lowbie in need of gear, I'll just make it for them and send it in a mail, with a note saying I hope they enjoy the shard.

    Default Yay!

I'm a new player (played all week, bought the game Thursday) so this thread makes me very, very happy.

Yet they still haven't beaten Akylios.

Welcome to the game and Faeblight! It can be an awesome place, and I hope you have a great time and stay a long while.

I left the game for a while last summer, and came back to news that Shadefallen had been shut down. I moved all my characters here, and have been getting reaclimated to the game. I see a lot of uncalled for snottiness in 50 that really makes it hard to start a conversation.. On Shadefallen, we would just chat, for no real reason.. Just talking while doing dailies or whatever. Tonight for example, 3 times were people flamed in 50 for asking a question. I made a comment before logging off just to try to get people talking (it was a general crafting observation- nothing controversial), and someone actually spent time and energy writing me a snotty response. Why is this necessary? That king of attitude makes people not WANT to say anything. It's uncalled for. I really hope this isn't the sort of thing I can look forward to. I had such high hopes moving here too
"Raiding is about minmaxing, not about fun." - Some d*ck in level 50 chat.

In Irish mythology, the Badhbh —meaning "crow" or "vulture"—was a war goddess who took the form of a crow, and was thus sometimes known as Badb Catha ("battle crow"). She often caused fear and confusion among soldiers in order to move the tide of battle to her favored side. That's me! I cause confusion wherever I go.

I honestly didn't allow them to even be remembered. Dark something. I'm not wasting the mental energy to commit their name to memory xD

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I was lamenting the lack of people in the low level quests, and Huggz ran me through a dungeon so I could get the achievement

Even with the issues she's been having lately, Faeblight is t
    still the best active shard.

    Default Great community

I just transferred from Byriel after an 8 month hiatus and have one word to describe Faeblight: people. Its like I came home. Everyone seems to have a level of maturity, very intelligent player base and despite all that unmatched level of helpfulness. I got answers to some rather complicated questions, and was even able to locate old friends whom I lost touch with, just from asking in public channel.
    Oh yes, I'm definitely staying

I could not agree more with those on this thread who have been praising the PEOPLE of Faeblight. I recently came back to Rift for the love of the game but to my delight, also found a server that I LOVE, due to the awesome, social environment. I did not expect that. With the exception of once or twice in one of the level chats (there will ALWAYS be trolls, come on ), I have been blown away by the kind, helpful, generosity of everyone. I also love that even in the low to mid level zones, I encounter people questing and enjoying the game. I had originally planned to sub only for 1 month, but after having so much FUN on this server, I will probably stay for good. THANKS everyone. I'm so happy to be here. Like Erisad said - It's like I have come HOME.
