She had very little experience in the outside world until her ascension.

    Viscol is a small woman with large, expressive eyes and a pretty smile that always seems to brighten when her guildmates are around. Her hair is kept loose around her shoulders with a few braids here and there, each one tied with a trinket at the end.

    Around her neck is a stunning amethyst pendant secured with a silver chain and a pearl necklace. A matching wedding ring is on her finger.
    Fashion of Choice: Modest. Her robes hide most of her form. Sometimes she likes a pretty, breezy dress.
    Weapons of Choice: Her trusty two-handed mace is never far away. It is very thin and small, custom made for her little hands. She also has a small mace she likes.
    Special Abilities: At a very young age, Viscol showed a talent for the healing arts, often assisting the tribal clerics with the wounded. She also showed a talent for finding water, guiding her family over long distances to sources they were unaware of. She also senses general moods from others, though whether this is simply reading body language or some sort of gift remains to be seen.

    Alignment: Goody-two-shoes
    Motivations: Viscol had at one time, quietly dedicated her life to the teachings of Mariel-Taun. Upon ascension, her prayers went unanswered, resulting in a panic attack and religious crisis. She is looking for something else to do with her life that will test her skills, and will benefit her family and friends.
    Disposition: She's friendly and upbeat, a bit shy at first, but warms up to new friends quickly. She's a caring young woman, who wants to do right by everyone.
    Outlook: Viscol is optimistic about the world, though she's not sure where technomagic comes into play, or if it even should. She secretly hopes that the Gods stay out of things, and let the mortal races rebuild and repair the damage they have done.
    Religion/Philosophy: She's lost her faith, and sometimes struggles with that fact. She figures, as long as she's helping those she cares about, she's doing the right thing.

    History:
    Viscol's family was large, all dedicated to each other and their lands and their cause--the Dragonslayer Covenant. She focused on her studies, often found with her nose in a book instead of playing with the other children.

    She witnessed her family get slaughtered by the Wanton cult, and she was spared the initial wave of violence to be used as a sacrifice. She managed to escape this fate by drowning herself. Coming to in the future, she realized her goddess no longer listened to her and her family was gone. She kept her chin held high and marched on without them.

    She joined a band of mercenaries for protection shortly after returning to her desert, but found it to be an uncomfortable experience. She was often used as bait in their missions, carelessly tossed headfirst into terrible situations. She ran away from home one night, looking for a better life elsewhere.

    Fashion of Choice: In truth, he likes light robes, but will usually be seen in some sort of leather attire as general Kelari dress seems absent in the March.

    Special Abilities: Plane shifting (he calls it moving in the 'Between'): physically taxing on him though, and he will often retreat to rest after having to exert himself.


    Personality:
    Alignment: Neutral Good
    Motivations: Finding out the fate of his sister, extermination of the Abyssal, reclamation of his people's home and life.
    Disposition: Mellow and approachable, Meph is hard not to eventually grow to like. He may seem almost goofy at times, but underneath is a more somber and serious current that reveals itself more personally in certain moments.
    Outlook: Generally positive. A bit amused that he's still mute and trying to work out how to compensate, he's found he's horrible at charades.

    Religion/Philosophy: Mephyst believes in equality. There is nothing without price or consequence, and once given, it cannot be regained. This state of equilibrium is one he takes seriously, and impresses on how he sees the world.

    Sexuality: Asexual. His mind tends to not even think of others that way, so general statement of sexuality for now is pretty pointless. Perhaps that may change.

    Positive Personality Traits: Good listener, empathizer, mellow, observer.
    Negative Personality Traits: Sometimes naive or too trusting, too forgiving. Often misses innuendo.

    History:

    Mephyst and his sister Meclyz were taken in as initiates to the main temple of Hecatatus under the Priestess Persea when she saw the children playing and talking with the wisps one day. The years passed, they grew, and it was decided that to become fully mantled in the priesthood, Mephyst would make his first life-long pact with a lesser air spirit known as Verek.

    It was around this time Persea began to act more closed off and within herself. Inviting Mephyst to aid her in the summoning and welcoming of a new spirit to the isle, he soon discovered that she intended on sacrificing his sister as per request of the spirit. He rescued his sister at the cost of Persea's death, which initiated the summoning of the spirit. In order to stop this, he went back and made his pact with Verek in order to be able to have the means to use himself and the temple as a seal for the in-summoning beast. He died when the temple collapsed around him.

    Now ascended, his main intention is trying to find out what became of his sister. He doesn't know if she survived the exodus, whether she is likewise ascended, or something else.

    Nirah is slightly pale by Ethian standards, but modestly aesthetic and approachable. She wears her dark hair loose about her shoulders and often has something of a windswept appearance. As a result of constant fighting her skin has become a canvas for scars, scrapes, and bruises, mostly on her back, torso, and legs. The most prominent (and recent) one is across her left brow, the result of a grazing arrow from a faction skirmish in Stillmoor.

    She possesses two pieces of jewelry. On her right hand she wears a simple, elegant band of platinum with a leaf-shaped emerald set in the center. Around her neck hangs a lengthy, silvery chain that holds three evenly-spaced, spherical gemstones: garnet, emerald, and ruby. Both pieces of jewelry are hidden beneath glove and tunic in armor, but displayed freely when in casual clothing.

    Nirah is very expressive and most people can read her with little difficulty.

    Fashion of Choice: Nirah prefers dark and royal colors, and a distinct combination of black and white. She dislikes anything particularly showy, especially garments with extra ruffles or lace. Though she was once a bit of a tomboy, sometimes she can be seen in robes and dresses.

    Armor of Choice: As a mage, Nirah favors tunic and pants over robes. All of her actual armor is dark, imbued cloth that emphasizes freedom of movement. She possesses cold-weather gear for traversing the Peaks and a white robe for the desert.

    Weapons of Choice: Nirah's staff and wand were crafted by her mentor, Daul. She treasures them deeply and is never without them, even in social settings. An inactive turquoise capstone hangs from the head of the staff as an ornament, a relic from some weapon she previously wielded.

    Special Abilities: Planar Attunement (sensory) - Nirah is more attuned to the planes than most mages and Ascended/Machine-born. Though her primary element is fire, she can lure any of the planes. Through her attunement she can "hear" elemental forces and gauge their potential and general mood (i.e. restless, malicious, benevolent, etc.).

    Illusion - Nirah can disguise herself as a crate or bush. The results are sometimes amusing.

    Versatility - Though Nirah is primarily a pyromancer and wields fire against riftspawn, she utilizes domination magic against more intelligent opponents. Nirah is also an adept chloromancer and can heal herself and others. She rarely engages in combat in this role.

    Motivations: Safety (Telara), vengeance (Wanton), destruction (Storm Legion)
    Disposition: Cheerful, skittish
    Outlook: Nirah is stubborn to the core and brings a sense of optimism into the war each day, but she is quietly certain of Telara's damnation. Unless the Guardians and Defiant take advantage of the Blood Storm's divisiveness instead of imitating it, Telara is doomed.

    Religion/Philosophy: Nirah regards the Vigil with a mixture of confusion and growing rebelliousness. She relies only on herself and her Telaran allies in battle and all other things and has a strong sense of loyalty to those close to her.

    Sexuality: Straight. Though Nirah isn't homophobic, she finds same-sex partnerships strange and becomes uncomfortable when women flirt with her.

    Positive Personality Traits: Cheerful, stubborn, protective, sympathetic, open

    History: Nirah is somewhat of a question mark among the Defiant. Though introduced recently as Daul's mage apprentice and Viscol Rah'zin's sister, some wonder why she hasn't appeared long before now. It is rumored that she has past ties to the Guardians, and thus she is regarded with suspicion by Meridian's authorities who catch wind of such speculation. She fits best with the minority who doggedly prioritize fighting the Blood Storm over the Guardians in Telara's three-pronged war. Her past remains ambiguous and is rarely spoken of.

    Bluriel loves hanging with people, talking or walking around, especially if they're women. He lost his sister since she started adventuring and that's the reason why he tries to flirt with women: Trying to find his sister. He doesn't discriminate neither Defiants nor Guardians because for him, both are a source of money and both have their reasons to fight. He would never take a mission that would put any of both sides at a disadvantage in that war.

    History: Solarace was not the oldest of her six siblings, but she bossed them all around as if she was. Coming from a family of mages and clerics, she learned how to control her abilities at a young age and became especially fond of the ability to control fire. Her first life was very simple; she completed her trials to find her place within the tribe, while her younger sister had trouble doing so. Because of this, she looked after Solarae, and the two were inseparable; up until Solarae’s death. Even though she discovered that her younger sister was ascended as well, she still never told her how she died, and probably never will.     History: Solarae was born in a tribe mostly consisting of warriors and those capable of magic and healing, so when she did not possess the abilities of the archane of magic her family expected her to become a warrior, but this was not her calling. At a young age she could pick locks and fade into the shadows: she was born a rogue. She became fascinated with apothecary, and began creating basic potions and tonics. She loved her people, always wanting to bring them honor and held the highest respect for her elders. Her life before was peaceful, and although she was quiet and did not always join her peers in festivities, she was happy. The events that lead to her death are a blur, as she probably blocked it out and pushed it deep into her subconscious, but then she awoke in the future and saw the death that was ravaging Telara. She never questioned why her soul was one of the chosen to be taken from the soul stream, and was grateful for her second chance at life. After being sent back to the present day, she immediately began the search for her family, hoping to make up for the 30+ years she had lost, but sadly they were all gone; killed during the events of the Shade 20 years prior. With this, she realized that she was truly alone begun to roam the lands, helping people in small villages or towns that were in need. She is plagued by nightmares every night, of the future she saw when she awoke as an ascended, and from flashes of her death (the closest thing to remembering what happened to her). She enjoys being outside, feeling the wind in her hair or the smell of the grass, as that is the only peace she has found.

    History: Miss Azphelie was raised by two loving adoptive parents who owned a small farm in Freemarch, they told her she was in their fields with Escalentus as a toddler, and there was no way to tell how she'd gotten there. Having no kids of their own, they raised her to be diligent, benevolent, tenacious, and hard-working. She was a picture of perfect upbringing, up until she turned 16. A massive suspicious fire stuck their farm, killing all livestock, crops, and her parents.     Gruthar grew up like many of the rest of the Bahmi, in the Rhaza'de Canyons. However, Gruthar stood apart in his heritage by either refusing or removing to receive/keep his sefir, or facial tattoos of historical significance to the Bahmi. Utterly indifferent to not only his own people, but others as well, he sought to find honor for himself by his own honor code, which has never been written and is uniquely placed in his mind. Often misunderstood for being odd, he merely wishes to please his senses and thusly seeks to do things which honor his code. However, after some time Gruthar began to tire of his loneliness, and set out to find a guild to which he could find welcome in, and to which he could remain honorable towards. Gruthar earned his name by his Bahmi peers by often purposefully encouraging the enemy to attack him, thus 'gathering' the enemy forces around him.

    History:

    Aderwyn was born into a noble Elven Family called Rosewood. Aderwyn was always bored with staying home and studying. She was often found in the woods playing with animals and faeries as a child. When she was older she became a Ranger in the High Elven Army.
    When the Mathosian War began, Aderwyn wasn't sure whether to listen to Shyla or Prince Hylas. She chose to stay behind and followed the will of Prince Hylas. She slowly began to see why Hylas was now acting like he was now that Shyla had left. She then began to pray to Tavril for Guidance on what to do/
    Before she could go on the mission she was assigned, she was killed. Not by a Rift, but by Tavril in a landslide. Tavril brought her back as Ascended, for being something that wasn't found in the Aelfwar; Faithful to the Vigil.
    Aderwyn still retains her Aelfwar persona in battles but still remains kind to others. She still has trouble accepting the fact she is going against Hylas and she hopes he can be redeemed.

    History: Little is known about Auramahn before his Ascension, various text describe a mage with his characteristics living 150 years before, although nothing can be proven. Although Auramahn is apathetic with his previous life, he is often plagued by nightmares for which he has no explanation, or feelings of de javu among his adventures. He may never know who he was, the only thing he has now is himself, and someone who has always been there for him, as his ally, his confidant, and for a brief time (before his Ascension) his Master, Death.

    Relatives: No siblings. Due to the longevity of the High Elves, her parents were content with one child. As to the whereabouts of her parents, she is unsure. She lost contact after her "death" under Shyla's command, and after being Ascended by the Vigil has been unable to locate them.

    Appearance:
    Physical Description: Shiefra is fairly short and slender, like many High Elves. She has incredibly pale skin from lack of exposure to the sun. (Living the majority of your life in a forest of trees with wide canopies tends to have that effect on you). She has fairly light green eyes, and light green hair to match, making it fairly easy for her to blend into the mottled shadows of the forests. She has strong, supple fingers that are adept at quickly loosing arrows at high speed. Her hair is fairly wavey, tending towards curls at the end, is around shoulder length. She lets it hang free, enjoying the feeling of freedom and spriteliness it gives her. She has a small nose and a rather large mouth (perfect for getting herself into trouble, her mother would always scold).
    Notable Features: She is missing the tip of her index finger on the left hand after accidentally slicing it off as a wee child in Silverwood, playing warrior with a childhood friend. She has a faint green array of fluid lines across her forehead in a pleasing design; a tattoo given to her at her birthing by the midwife.
    Personal Possessions: A tiny beaded necklace that she keeps mostly hidden under her armor. A glowing bracelet made up of 3 rings that she likes to flaunt while dancing. Several pairs of earings that she only wears when the situation calls for "stateliness".
    Fashion: Shiefra is quite fond and proud of the armor bestowed on her by the Vigil as a new Ascended, and rather likes the colors. For now she can be found flouncing around in her winged helmet and oddly colored cuiress.
    Armor: Shiefra, as a Rogue, wears leather armor for ease of movement and long forest travels. She prefers tunics and short sleeved jerkins over the more elaborate types of armor, in muted greens and browns for blending in with her natural surroundings.
    Weapons: Shiefra carries 2 small daggers for emergencies, but her real weapon is the bow. Most of her bows are hand crafted by close friends from wood found throughout Silverwood, and her arrows are always clean and straight.
    Special Abilities: Being newly Ascended, Shiefra is okay with not having any unique or outstanding abilities that would make her stand out among her brethren. She prefers the descretion of the shadows, and is quite happy to surprise potential foes with careful maneuvers and strategic standpoints. Although she can claim mastery over certain animals, and shares a close bond with 2 such individuals, who she shares her oftentimes long and lonely travels with.

    Positive Personality Traits: Very patient and kind. Always helpful to those in need. Has determination and courage. She always takes a few moments to look over a situation before deciding on how she would like to involve herself, if at all.

    Negative Personality Traits: Sarcastic, rather vague and confusing way of speaking. Stubborn. Opinionated. Does not take advice well. A bit of a snob around strangers.

    Likes: Mountains, waterfalls, trees, animals, killing planar invaders, crafting new and unique runes for her armor, exploring Telara.

    Dislikes: Defiant as standard protocol, spiders, Aelfwar. Has a particular loathing for the Plane of Death, and goes out of her way to deliberately antagonize and engage denizens of Death rifts in combat. She also dislikes bossy know it all types, and those that deliberately feed others false information.

    Favorite Foods: Shiefra, being a child of the forests, is rather partial to anything found or caught by her own hand. Although she really likes her health potions.

    OOC:: I am relatively new to RP, but I absolutely love the idea and for some time now have wanted to try my hand at it after watching several close RL friends RPing in the various games we've played. I hope no one is overly offended by "noobishness" in-game, and I apologize if I may seem somewhat muddled at times. I think I would like medium RP, and I am always open to random open world RP.
