Hey everyone! I decided to make this progression thread to track how our server is doing and to facilitate conversation between raiding guilds I've seen progression threads in other mmos and while it may have some negative elements at times all in all I think it is a great way to get guilds/factions talking to each other and encouraging progress on the server in a beneficial way. I will try to actively update the thread as new information comes in, of course the success of a thread such as this depends a lot on the contributions of both sides so if you have information on guild kills and dates here is the place! Remember first time achievements are also dated on the achievement if you forget, also remember to post updates according to server time! (new transfers please post kill dates according to when you kill those mobs on the shard and not in the past to avoid retrospective issues with kill dates and shard firsts (if you are progressing in t2 raid content, you can get credit for t1 clears on the transfer in date though).)

Its been awhile since I updated my comments! Progression has been very exciting lately though, lots of new faces, a lot of progression through Hammerknell and Rise of the Phoenix, and Akylios has finally fallen. As the carnival approaches I hope we aren't too swept up by the festivities to see more guilds cut their way through the fortress, and prepare for the coming of Infernal Dawn and the looming wrath of Maelforge. Only incredible focus and dedication will guide us through our hardest challenge yet!

Dealing with retired guilds: If the accomplishment is a faction or shard first, I leave up the accomplishment with a <retired> tag next to the guild name so that that information can still be maintained, however, if it is not a server or shard first and the guild is no longer functional their accomplishments will be removed from the progression thread.

Dealing with guild transfers:
Despite previous guild kills we only count kills on the server, as much as I want to recognize guild accomplishments, the idea of the thread is to track progression on faeblight as a server and retrospectively counting guild kills would cause issues with server firsts, etc... since information is kept by date. I also realize sometimes transferred over guilds lose players on the transfer so it also serves as a sort of small check to make sure the guild's listed progression matches what they are capable of. However, I do allow new transfers and newly formed guilds who are currently progressing through T2 content to receive credit for T1 clears (since I realize many guilds no longer run these regularly without itemization incentive). If a guild that has progression leaves the shard I treat it exactly the same way as a retired server- if they have shard/faction first on the server we keep that information up and put a retired tag next to the name, if not we delete that information from the opening post and I'll probably repeat the deleted information on the deletion post in case we need to reference it later. Of course this is completely open to suggestions/debate, but that's kinda the direction I thought would be ideal.

Guild Alliances- Most alliance activities are not recorded in the guild summary or progression thread breakdown unless the composition is such that it is still mostly attributable to single raiding guild. The exceptions: The alliance shard firsts or faction firsts a mob in which case it remains on the progression breakdown (retiring it if its not an active alliance), or the alliance is intended to be a more permanent effort in which case it creates a new progression thread entity where progression is tracked for the alliance, but not being attributable to a guild within it this means the guilds must still record solo progression

Edit: I've heard the suggestion that the red shade that houses all defiant guild related script in the opening post is a bit hard to read. Agree/disagree? If you think it is, what are your guys' suggestions for a replacement red?

Edit: I've heard the suggestion that the red shade that houses all defiant guild related script in the opening post is a bit hard to read. Agree/disagree? If you think it is, what are your guys' suggestions for a replacement red?

Use this "red." I understand red is the Defiant "color," and unfortunately there's only two such font color options in posting. But, at least, this "red" is a bit easier on the eyes on the forum default background. However, even that isn't great, it'd be better to be something different to stand out against the standard forum blue.

I believe I've found the answer.

I've no trouble with reading the current red color, and Hawk's makes the names stealth into the background.

Not sure about you guys but that red is hard to read if anything make it lighter so my eyes don't bleed when I start to read it.
