Legion of the White Rose was founded on October 4, 1998. We'll celebrate our 13th anniversary as a guild this year. We currently have 90 members across two active chapters.

Most of our members grouped together quite a bit in the early to mid-90's in MUDs like ZombieMUD, BatMUD, ShadowMUSH, and RevelationMUD. We officialy formed up in a text based strategy game from Korean based MARI called Archmage: Reincarnation from the Hell. We opened up branch chapters in several other games including Utopia, Monarch, Diablo II, and Call of the Warlords. In 2001, we picked up stakes and moved whole hog into Everquest. In 2004, the bulk of the guild moved to Everquest II which has remained our flagship chapter since. We've opened additional chapters in Pirates of the Burning Sea, Warhammer Online, and Star Trek Online. Currently, we only maintain truly active chapters in Everquest II and Rift. We may be reviving our Pirates of the Burning Sea chapter with the release of the upcoming expansion.

Generally speaking, we're a casual raiding guild. We plan to start raiding 2 nights a week to allow members from our Everquest II chapter to raid with us. This may change once everyone has leveled up. While we don't plan to be a hardcore raiding guild, we will be very focused on the nights we do raid so we can keep progressing. We do not have a mandatory raid percentage that our members must meet.

A big focus for us is honor. We maintain a respectful atmosphere and keep our guild chat and ventrillo channels clear of any bad language. This doesn't mean that we don't like to have fun. We just don't want anyone to be uncomfortable. We also have a healthy respect for the rest of the community and treat everyone with dignity and respect.

We plan to do some light roleplaying and we do not have an age restriction at this time.

We maintain our raid points database, an external roster application, and our vBulletin forums on our website. We also have a Ventrilo server, a Twitter account, and a Facebook group.

We do use Ventrilo as much as possible. It is great for raids and groups, but also because we are not just a bunch of gamers with the same tag name.. but because we are a family.

That having been said, I've been known in the past, to turn on Vent to listen to everyone and not say much at all... hehe. But it really is the best way to get to know your guildmates.
