What are you looking for in a Rift guild?

Prefer smaller guilds to large raid type guilds where you're mostly a number and half the time may as well not be in a guild at all. A guild that's more than just a private chat channel is good to.

I may be addicted to artifact hunting.
I'm a hoarder (cloth,leather...basically anything I feel may have value I shove in my bank to collect dust cause I don't have patience for the AH mini game)
I also have a 24 paladin/reaver tank which I enjoy playing (again no levelling spec)

PST - randomly from 9am-4pm. Usually nights from 8pmish-11pmish.

What are you looking for in a Rift guild?

Medium to large size light RP Mature [18+] friendly "casual" guild without the l33t speak or drama queens and understands people have lives/families outside of the game.

What else would you like prospective guilds to know about you?

Old cranky geezer who'd like to get off the porch and see the what the non-soloable parts of Telara has to offer - group quests [dailies], normalized and expert variations of the dungeons, and general rift/invasion destructions. I tend to solo as much as I can but will help out IF it's a necessity [I walked up hill both ways in the snow to reach level 50 - so can you! ]

Not sure if this thread is alive but what the heck.

Brand new to Rift and just playing around trying to learn the basics and get a feel for the game. A guild to talk to would be nice - channel 1-9 is just platspam.

I'm eastern time zone and on and off all day until 11PM. Older than most of us - retired and with loads of time. Haven't picked classes and crafts yet so if a guild has any needs I can try those.

Due to poor hearing i need a guild that mostly types for routine guild chat rather than using voice. Ive been in various age-restricted guilds over the years e.g. minimum age 30 or 35 - that would work for me but isn't required. Light or medium RP is good but also not required.

What are you looking for in a Rift guild? a guild that is more active. preferably with a guild leader that isnt inactive for 11-12 days and doesnt get a group together for stuff, only to hafta do work-related stuff 5 mins later

What else would you like prospective guilds to know about you? im able to tank all t1 instances quite well, and im confident i can tank t2s. 115 toughness. i like doing rift raids, expert rifts, expert dungeons, rift-stomping parties.

What else would you like prospective guilds to know about you? I have been playing various MMOs for over 10 years starting with the original EQ. Lots of raid experience. I also have a lvl 50 rogue that I will be transferring over to server come patch 1.3.

I do a bit of everything, not looking to HAVE to do them, I RP cause I like to, I PvP cause it's fun. It's not a job, it's a journey.

I play generally... at no set time. I work evenings, so anytime after 4pm server to 9pm server can be a bit hazy if I don't remember my schedule.

What are you looking for in a Rift guild?

something easy going, a group of people to just chill with. I like to play, and I play hard when I want to. Just don't expect me to be RAWR 24/7

What else would you like prospective guilds to know about you?

Well, I'm of legal age, I'm tall, handsome, and charming. I like to take long walks on the beach, sip sweet tea in the sunset... Wait... *reads* g-u-i-l-d-s... Funny, thought it said women there for a second. In such a case, I'm funny, I don't like to be serious, and I'm not about to change how I play to suit others' whims. I already play a bard and like it, sheesh.

Friendly/Casual; I'm new RPing, I'd like to explore it; I'd like to go rift busting, raiding, instances, maybe PvP.

I'm very easy-going and laid back. I play video games to have fun. I like to be sociable at the same time as well. I dont really have any drama or emotional baggage. I'm just looking for a close knit group of friends to play with!

Heavy/medium RP guild. friendly, unbiased, people. An active guild with IC guild chat would be nice but somewhat negotable.

EST. I play in the evenings during the week and all day on the week-ends. There are occasions when work interferes with life but I will always express such things ahead of time. Any guild I join I would like to be pretty active and friendly but not have mandatory attendance requirements.

What are you looking for in a Rift guild?
I'm looking for a "mature" guild (Adults only definitely preferred). I would prefer one that role-plays but that is in no means a requirement. I want a guild that is helpful enough and can provide constructive criticism to make me a better player (if needed). I want a guild that has members who love PvP and PvE, who do raiding and possibly warfronts together.

Bottom line is, I'm looking for like-minded people. If I can find the guild of my dreams you'll never manage to get rid of me.

What else would you like prospective guilds to know about you?
I'm female? Ha! Seriously though I'm a very level-headed, compassionate and eager person who loves to help out others as well as be a productive member of any team. I was an officer in a guild on another Shard until they all decided to switch games to one I don't particularly have any interest in leaving me very lonely. I transferred shards to Shadefallen with the hopes of maybe getting to do some role-play.

I've never actually role-played within an MMO. Most of the roleplaying I've done in the past was chat-based, table-top or the like. I'm curious to try the new format.

I'm creative, articulate, friendly, optimistic, friendly adult who just wants to make new friends and be successful in the game. I'm ambitious and would want a team of cohorts who were in the same boat as I am competitive enough to seek to try new things, kill new guys and see all that the game has to offer.

What times and days do you usually play – Live in Pacific Time zone, Play from 8-9am till 11-12pm 7 days a week (server time) only time I can’t play is from Monday nights 4pm – 9pm PST

What are you looking for in a guild? An active guild, I play a lot during the days, I like to have people to play with, to hook up with for events and instances. I’d like to avoid guilds which are ‘officer centric’ If you’ve raided any amount of time you know what I’m talking about guilds were no one does anything all day till officers log in, then form groups around said officers, and once they are off go back to doing nothing. Finally I would like to be part of a guild with players who have enough stones to play in or join PUGs should there not be enough guildies around to take part in an event or zone or the like. Again if you’ve been raiding long you know the guys I’m talking about, the ones who are always the first to troll ‘You can’t do that with a PUG’
IMHO it should only take 2 or 3 players from a good raid guild to make a group or even a raid.

(Let me tell you the story of why I include this)

I got pulled into an expert instance of Charmer’s Caldera. There were 4 guys from the same guild, at least one of them had orange gear, and I think I remember a second having a piece too. I ask my usual what role do you want me to run for support?
One of them responds ‘How much focus do you have?’
I say ‘about 250’
He responds, ‘oh I’m really sorry dude, you need at least 290 to finish this zone’
At which point I was voted out of the group without ever leaving the alcove
Queue the head scratching…. And no this happened a month or so back, so it wasn’t in the master dungeon it happened in CC..

But it illustrates my point so graphically, of another type of raider we all loathe, the ones who rely solely on gear and internet cookie cutter builds, and who suck so bad at the game they require perfect build groups with perfect gear just to walk to the nearest town. And they tend to run in packs of guilds whose only means of success, is spending hours throwing bodies at boss mobs till they win out of sheer luck.


What else would you like prospective guilds to know about you?
I have been playing MMOs since they were conceived so I have a great back ground in playing, raiding and strats.
I have 4 roles on each of my level 50 alts so I’m glad to switch souls and points to best suit the guilds needs on one or more of those roles

I think that the best way to most easily describe me as a player would be - I would rather be the guy you say “OMFG I can’t believe we just did that.” to, Instead of the guy who says “Well if everything had been perfect that wouldn’t have happened” to you.

Note: I am currently on Shadefallen (an RP server) I would rather stay on an RP server but will skip that requirement for a good enough guild, but I will not for any reason move to a PvP server, RP or no
