    Default <Nevermore> is Recruiting!

Here we go, generic recruitment thread!

Nevermore is looking to fill out our awesome PvP/PvE roster by recruiting some of you fine individuals to come have a little fun with us. We're a relaxed and fun guild on the surface, but when it comes to dropping bosses for phat loot and putting the Guardians back in the dumpster we mean business. Our guild is 18+, which means we will not tolerate carebears and whiners; if you are indignant or immature you need not apply. We encourage like-minded and exceptional individuals to head over to our forums and toss us an application, or alternatively contact one of our officers in game to setup a trial.

If you want to contact us personally with any questions or concerns feel free to contact:
    Squirrel
    Galvia
    Nytemair
    Gob
    Nightinggale

edit 5/2/11: Some of the contacts on that list are no longer with us. If you would like to get a hold of someone in-game, just do a /who Nevermore, whisper someone in guild, and they will direct you to an available Officer. You can always apply on our guild site, too.

That was actually after finishing some Raid Rifts, and now that you mention it we are 1/5 in Greenscale and Johlen should be going down tonight! We were very close in our first night of raiding last night taking him down, so tonight should not be an issue.

But we definitely look forward to a challenge, and feel free to come gank me in IPP all day! We are starting to pick up on the premades which we are running daily usually late night. Hoping to clash with some Guardian Stonecrest premades as well.

Just an update on that kill.

BIG thanks going out to Waiting on Diablo for a very successful kill on Johlen. Our joint raid just dropped him with only a few attempts. Really appreciate the holes you guys filled tonight when our numbers were not very strong.

Heres the funny part about filling holes, when you have people in your own guild that can fill the spots and rather run with another guild is beyond me.

1st actual raid night comes. 23 level 50s online at time of start,9 people signed up on the calender and 3 of the people signed up arent even the appropriate level at the time of the event.

Team speak is chattering, people being told to make sure and go sign up if they want to go....sign ups on guild calender goes from 9 to 16. Then teamspeak goes quiet....invites go out and 11 in guild are in. So people are looking around....Officers of appropriate level and the "inner circle" group are the ones in the raid.

The guild is told that the ones with the "best" gear are being brought outside of the ones that originally signed up...well heres the problem with that theory. PVP gear doesnt = best PVE gear. Just because its purple pixeled doesnt mean anything.

Secondly, and this is completely off the top of my head, but if the secondary stat points are anything like wow then "focus=spell hit" right? Because in WoW you didnt need "hit" to heal.so I would assume you don't need "focus" to heal in this game. That didnt stop some healers from being told they couldn't go because they didnt have 200 focus. And that was from the managment of the guild.

I honestly am confused, call me a bad or whatever,i didnt beta test this game a lot and I'll be the first to admit I'm learning. I was in the guild for a week, some people are really nice....but the recruitment thread is a bit misleading. For myself and I know for sure a few others,it felt very cliqueish. Maybe guilds arent like they used to be anymore.

And in no way is any of this rant towards anyone in <Waiting for Diablo> , I'm not a troll,I don't feel the need to post on forums very much, just felt that i should post of our experiance with the group.

Warandpeace while I understand your issue, there were not anywhere near 23 level 50 people with appropriate gear for Greenscale, which also included yourself. Which is why you weren't chosen to raid, and as far as officers and the "Inner Circle" being invited to the raid, we brought 13 people to that raid that night with Waiting on Diablo out of them the only officers who went were Squirrel, Xotick, and Gob (who are all appropriately geared) the rest was comprised of normal members, and largely recruits (see: Deadwolf, Psykist, Sibby, etc). Feeling "cliquish" is entirely untrue, as I remember spending plenty of time speaking with you on Teamspeak, as well as the rest of the guild. I also remember a lot of the guild doing PLENTY of runs with you, infact taking a lot of time out of their game to try to improve yours over your recruitment period. On the issue of some healers being told that they couldn't go. The only healer who was told that they couldn't go for the sake of progress was your Wife, Darkpheonix who according to a large number of members advised us that she was unable to heal any sort of instance for whatever reason. She was the only healer who was unable to go. Kipzy, Xotick, Kaz, Gob, Rathgar (Another Recruit) all of our dedicated healers, were in the raid.

Your comments are both unfounded and unrealistic, and if anyone needs further proof of it feel free to contact any of our members and recruits, I'm sure they will tell you the same.

Just as a note, I'm not trying to attack you personally Warandpeace, or your wife. I just find your points ludicrous and a little slanderous. I feel like this is more of an issue that you two personally didn't get a raid slot, and that you two personally didn't participate in guild. Which, if you aren't making an attempt to feel apart of the group, it would most certainly feel like there is an "inner circle".

Galvia,I appreciate the response,I do,and my issue isn't with you., but since you want to respond to my thread as you know the conversation that i had with Squirrel that evening then fine we can have it.

There was indeed 23 level 50s online at the time of the raid, and people outside of myself and my wife that were part of the conversation being had in guild chat at the time of this whole thing going on. It was Squirrel that told me the reason why Darkphoenix wasn't invited to the raid was because she didnt have 200 focus. I told squirrel repetedly that you didnt need 200 focus to heal, healers don't need focus period.I was told i was wrong.

The conversation doesn't even involve my wife,as that conversation was had between me and Squirrel.

Secondly, the raid did comprise of 11 people from Nevermore at the time of the conversation, and Juggernaut, the warrior class lead, was there in 3 peices of pvp gear, and not at hit cap as if you had looked at his gear and counted his hit like squirrel had done to me then it would have been easy to see that he was well below hit cap even talented into BM and champ which he told me he wasn't.

Third and lastly, and this is for the unrealistic and unfounded part,if you mean going out of their way to run instances with us as being having me or my wife to come into an instance as a filler at random parts of the day because someone couldn't finish a dungeon or running to go do an exploited boss in expert realm of the fae over and over again then sure....its unrealistic and unfounded....

Anyway, like i said,I posted my 2 cents about our experiences. I'm not some 1 post troll who feels the need to piss in anyones cherrios, and if your going to respond to me believe that I will respond back.

The point I'm trying to get across Warandpeace is that there were not 23 50 players online for the raid who were greenscale ready, of the people we took we took those who were ready for Greenscale, 13. We brought 13 members of our guild to that raid and anyone who attended that raid on Wednesday could verify that. The reason why Darkpheonix couldn't come to the raid was because we were told by a number of people that she can't heal any sort of instance, so she would need the hit to get in to at least DPS. And even at that point we would have had to test out her DPS capabilities as well to make sure we could actually clear the content. There is no sense in bringing someone who simply can't keep up with the raiding environment. Anyone who has been to Greenscale can tell you that past the first boss there is a minimum requirement to even be able to clear the boss. Johlen has a bomb mechanic that requires A LOT of DPS that even with our best geared people and Waiting on Diablo's best people we were clearing with only a few seconds to spare. The healing is very intensive, the DPS is very intensive, and the tanking is very intensive and we brought all of the people who we thought, and the rest of the guild agreed, were ready to go to Greenscale. The only people who complained were the two of you, and you ended up leaving the guild because of it.

Juggernaut was minimum top 5 dps, and in a lot of cases top 3 (not including pet DPS) he was more then appropriately geared for the encounter. You can verify that through Xotick's Livestream, should be all saved there. He has Hit talents that put him above the percentage of Hit that you needed to enter the instance and down the second and third boss. His spec allowed him to be able to actually hit the boss. You can talk to Juggernaut about his spec and the 20 minutes of theory crafting we did about it when we noticed he wasn't hit capped.

You were not taken as filler, ever. A major part of our recruitment process is testing out recruits abilities in their various roles in order to make an accurate judgement of their skill level. You were taken as a Tank when we could have very easily filled the role with one of our other geared warriors. Your wife was taken as a healer so that we could test her out, instead of taking our various other healers. You were never taken to fill in, because we have so many 50s that we could pick and choose if we weren't interested in grouping with everyone we take into the guild.

I know you're still going to feel differently about the subject, but I know all of the issues you're having are on you guys. Not out guild, or it's management.
