Default Question to Legacy -- HOW did you take down Anrak with 1 heal and 2 offheals?!!?!?!

Okay... We have been trying to do Anrak and honestly found it just too hard for a 10 man. Maybe we do not have a lot of the raiding gear (have a few people with some) but even so... We have 3 heals and 2 supports and STILL found this to be a crazy fight. The damage output on the raid is just amazing. PLUS at 50% he throws in poison (that is cleansable) but still.... I heard from one of your members that you did it with just a Cleric, Bard, and Chloro.. Even the most geared groups in the forums say they need at least 2 Cleric heals. How did you guys do it?

You guys are just too beastly because doing this with that little amazes me. Any way you can post a video of how you did it? I know someone took a vid. Please post so I can see this beastliness.

We are just giving up on him until Trion scales him or our gear is able to handle it unless you guys have a better strat. Trion screwed up the LOS for his "downpour-like" ability, so we try to keep heals and are capable to keep us up during the phase, but even with all our support AND 3 heals.. It's rough. Just looking for a video so I can see how you guys did it with so few. Thanks!!

(Lots of people are starting rumors that you glitched it already, but I know you guys are beasts.)

We wiped for about 2 hours learning the fight. The only video around was some bugged video where the boss just stood there, unfortunatly we werent that lucky. We had to actually kill him the right way. That being said; there are only 6 mechanics you have to worry about. Its a big learning curve in for a lot of people. Tanks died to tail slash 100 times, people died to eye beam 1000 times an everyone died to the AoE...

    Heres how we do it.

POSITION POSITION POSITION is the key for this fight. When we start everyone spreads out in a semi circle around him about 7-10 yards away. They stay there the entire fight no reason to move whats so ever. Its elimiates the spash damage from both eye beam, Earth Spikes and Poison.

1-100% only 4 things you worry about
Eyebeam. It focuses 1 person and the boss no longer hits the tank. It happens every every 30 sec or so. Just have your cleric Focus that person blow cool downs etc. The next time is comes up all the CDs should be back up.

AoE attack, since you are already positioned correctly no one gets hit. Melee just runs from each other and from the tank. The bard can heal the minimal dmg that occurs

Tail whip: As SOON as you see it the tanks move thru him. Thats prob the easiest mechanic to avoid, but most people tend to die to it constantly (including me for the 1st 5 tries)

Adds: 3 adds spawn no big deal dps them down and swap back to the boss. Tanks CANNOT pick them up due to the debuff

Tank Debuff, Brittle or something which increases dmg done..Herbs (rogue tank) and I (warrior tank) Swaped at 3-4 debuffs thru the entire fight

At 50% he adds in 2 more mechanics.

Poison cloud, can be removed so its not a big deal

Ground buff for boss which reduces his dmg taken by 20%. We just dpsed thru it, repositioning the boss mid fight gave people fits because they had to adjust then would die to eyebeam or whatever.

Overall its pretty fun and easy once you learn the mechanics. Same as Greenscale. We wipe for hours at a time then once we understand it we 1 shot him.

Anyway I hope this helps and good luck in there, PS the 2nd boss is Mr. RNG 15 min fight where you have to jump, run, kill an add, avoid aoe, avoid tornadoes, turn away from him, stop dps if you are called out. Its a fun fight but stupid cause 1 bad RNG and you wasted 10 mins of a 12 min fight.

I was taking a few billion videos. When I get home Ill see what I have recorded. I dont have our kill recorded *I think* but it will give you a basic understanding. If you wait until tonite when we kill him again Ill do my best to record it.

Nice. Thanks Lass. We are and have been using the exact same strat. Guess we just need more resist and gear cause healing is just too intense.
