Well I was thinking of leaving due to a really poor guild and lack of people to play with...guess this just seals the deal...

Since we are being kicked off the server, I'm assuming the server transfer restrictions don't apply to us. Can't find a word of information about it anywhere.

As usual, I was wrong. The only restriction that doesn't apply is the level 15+ requirement. I couldn't get to the shard I wanted to go to because it wasn't available to my faction. Oh well.
Nope, the 15+ requirement does apply, two of my characters I couldn't transfer due to level being too low. One being a storage character, other being my mage that I rerolled.
I cant even see Dimroot listed in shard selection. How does one even find it? Does trial mean that ONLY trial accounts go there?

It completely stinks - I had to transfer everyone to a different server, and the names I came on for at the time of shard creation are now taken and I'm forced to rename. Trion's unprofessionalism of this (and lack of warning!) is making me think about not renewing in October. =/
I moved myself and my guild over to Alsbeth, but the way it's so crowded there, I don't think I'll be staying there past my 7 days.

I have to agree with you on the lack of professionalism from Trion and absolutely no warning about this happening.
This is simply an epic failure on Trions part and is seriously making me reconsider my game choice if this is how Trion treats their paying customers.
I was a previous WoW player,but even Blizzard would not pull a stunt like this without at least a couple weeks warning and notices on the site and forums not to mention in game.
Sorry about that. Once again I fail. I should know better than to believe the update notes... "- Level 15+ [does not apply to characters on designated Trial Shards]"
Edit: BTW we (me and my wife) transferred to Galena. So far we kind of like it. Definitely has a higher population than Dimroot, but it doesn't seem overcrowded at all.
