ABUSEMENT PARK

We are a Level 8 (Halfway to Level 9) DEFIANT guild who is looking to finalize our raid roster with some fun-seeking players who want more out of their Rift experience than to be just another member or number.

We don't have hundreds of players, but we DO have enough where we have a great time everytime we have a raid/guild night, and we like it that way. Far too often, we see guilds where the numbers are so high, that it is impossible to feel like you really belong unless you were there from the start. If that's what you want, that is fine, but that is not who we are.

As our name implies, we have fun and like to enjoy a laugh with our fellow guildies and not make demands out of them that impede on their way of having a good time. The core group of founders have all played many MMO's together and are friends or family of one another. We get to know one another and all become friends because we believe this is the best way to succeed in the game and because that is just how we are. Yes, we DO poke fun at one another from time to time, but it is never in a serious manner and every member of our guild will attest to this. We poke fun at ourselves just as often.

We have no requirements to join the guild other than we ask that you not join solely to get to level 50 and then leave for "greener" pastures. We all do our best to help get all of our players to max level at the pace they want to get there. Some players like the leveling aspect of the game and they are entitled to that right.

Having said all of this, currently we have roughly 15 level 50 players (not alts) and are seeking more to complete our roster. There will come a time (soon we hope) when we will have reached enough members where taking on any more would take away from the community we feel our guild is about. This is not to say that exceptions couldn't or wouldn't be made. All guild members will always be able to bring in friends or family to the guild.

VOICE CHAT

We all use SKYPE for our guild nights as our preferred form of communication and ask our members to use it even if it is to listen in on our talks during guild events. Many have started out this way and eventually almost everyone gets a headset or microphone because our antics are too irresistable to not get involved in!!!

CURRENT EVENT SCHEDULE

Tuesdsay Nights: 9 PM Eastern/6 PM Pacific is our Crafting/Expert Rifts Night
Saturday Nights: 8 PM Eastern/5 PM Pacific is our Guild Instance/Raid Night

Once we have enough to run the 20-Person Instances, we will likely add a third night, but this has not been confirmed. NOTE: It is NOT a requirement to attend these events, but attending will always have its benefits. Currently, we have no rules for raiding, but if the guild were to decide as a group that they are necessary, then we will add them, but not before a vote by all member's (alts and toons excluded).

Our GOAL is to have roughly 30 total raid ready members (not counting alts or toons) and we are looking for all specs and roles. We feel that with enough members, each should play as they want to, and not be forced into playing in a manner that they don't want to or aren't comfortable with. We may ASK to have someone fill in if need be, but will never demand it. There is always another option.

WHAT WE PLAN TO OFFER THAT THE OTHERS DON'T

Enjoyable PvP: We have yet to dive into PvP as a guild and there are two reasons for this. The first is that not everyone wants to do PvP. Many have expressed an interest if the guild was doing it together, so this is something we are trying to get off the ground. The second reason is that none of us are yet at Prestige 6 and Pre-Mades would own us. We don't even kid ourselves. What we are looking to do is build up to this over time as many of us are working our way up the ranks. We know that we want to do PvP, but don't want it to be a drama filled nightmare where people are screaming at others to do things a certain way. We see enough of that in regular PvP.

Special Events: We have done a few of these in the past and our members loved them and plan to do more with a full roster. Most of the guild members are extremely creative and we encourage that. We like to think outside the box when it comes to entertaining ourselves and hosting special events for prizes (Platinum, Gear, etc.) is one of those ways.

Surprises: More than anything, we like to surprise our members and keep ourselves entertained, as this is a GAME. We have tossed around some ideas that would really make our members accomplishments in Telara stand out.
