Default Curcia Server - on the verge of death and decline?

I'm just coming back now to the game. Noticing that server population is low given the current time (even though several months back it would be at medium status). I'm also noticing that this thread channel isn't very active, and that a lot of posts have been deactivated (so to speak).

What's going on with Crucia? is it a dying server? is it worth switching over to a new shard where the population is higher? Love to see what feedback will be provided.

    Happy Rifting!

I hate to say it, but yeah - Crucia is damn near dead. We (the BF and I) started all our toons on that server... it's been our home since the beginning. So many people left for SW: ToR that most guilds either fell apart or transferred. I have no idea if there's any sort of comeback in Crucia's future, but we hopped over to Greybriar and are enjoying it so far. Medium population - decent people (with the exception of your standard trolls... can't get away from those lol) - and queue times are usually pretty good. Plenty of hardcore raiding guilds, as well as casual guilds (which is what we run)... come check it out if you get tired of wandering around an empty Meridian!

    Default R.i.p

Just saw the message of the day...in 7 days, this server goes the way of Old Yeller. Turning it into a test realm. If you don't move, you'll be kicked to Greenscale anyway. It sucks; I started here, and now, I'm off to greener pastures.

Have fun on your new server! May the pvp/dungeon timers be short wherever you end up.

    Default Crucia will be missed

Like Arsinyst I started all my characters on Crucia, and have been playing since March 25th. But I also noticed a substantial drop in population, within the past few weeks. I never realized it was because of SW though, despite having known a number of people who were leaving for it. However, RIFT is a very good game and I think it's worth sticking around to see how it evolves all all this plays out. BTW, I hopped to Greybriar too (I've been playing on it for about 10 days now) and can confirm what Arsinyst said about it.
