Default What have you been doing while waiting?

I was prepared today. I did ever chore in my house before Launch time, so when I went to log in and discovered I was in for a wait..I sat there and stared at the monitor. Then I got in and I played for awhile.

And then, I had to eat dinner. I was going to skip dinner...but dinner was steak and steak does not get skipped.

So then I'm trying to log back in.

So far I've organized my pens by color and by level of ink, next I am going to organize a random drawer in my desk ( I shall use a die to determine which one)...

And I still have 3 and a half hours left.

So what are you doing while you wait?

    I left a few posts.

Considered reading Melville's story about the Great Whale to see if I could finish it before the que emptied...but instead I...

Threw tennis balls for our two golden rerievers until they got tired (que down to 800s)

Ran some errands for the household commander and chief (my lovely wife who doesn't begrudge my MMO time...que in 400s).

Ate dinner with previously mentioned wife. Then I cleaned up and worked extra on the kitchen so it's at its most spotless level in months (que now in the low 200s).

Off to fix a pot of coffee....

Resting my eyes from the screen staring. Tried to have a nap, but that failed..

Been considering eating, but haven't gotten around to that. I feel like pizza, but the only place that delivers in my area is closed untill 1st of March..

Occasionally posting into some threads, reading them, and browsing web.

Listening to music, and considering if I should watch Star Trek awhile.

I worked until 6:30 PM EST and then came home to hop into the Faeblight queue. (1280-ish in line.)
I ate dinner and dessert. (Yum!)
I put in Robin Hood. (Yay, action movie to get me in the mood!)

I'm still watching Robin Hood, it's been about 3.5 hours since I first hopped in the queue and I'm #271 now. Not too bad. I'll be up until I can get on, make a character, maybe get a few levels, and then go to bed for work tomorrow.

Hmm, lets see. I've been researching which souls I will play since MM got severely nerfed in the most recent patch notes.

I played a little bit of FFTA2 on my DS. Thats the kind of game I can sink 40-50 hours into without blinking. I get down with the Tactics games.

I noticed Liar, Liar was on ABC so I've been kind of watching that while doing other more stimulating activities.

And, finally, I just finished a blog post about the last week I spent in Raleigh for work. If you're interested you can read all the juicy details here: http://microcosmk.blogspot.com/2011/...-days-1-2.html

335th in line with 1h 36 mins to go. At this rate I'll probably only have time to roll my toon before I pass out...

Got most of my research proposal done. It was pretty epic, since I hate research papers and have had a bout of insomnia this week, so writing it was pretty miserable.

    Got work done though!

I have decided that when I hit Queue number 227 I am going to sing this:

Unfortunately, still stuck at work (Aussie time, self-employed, and couldn't talk the Boss [aka hubby] to take the day off). When we do get home, going to fire up the machines and get into the queue right away, then I'll cook dinner and play with the FID (feathered kid, see avatar). I hope we can get in early enough to at least create some characters before heading to bed, though time will tell.

I had a few beers and sat talking with guildies on Vent while I waited for the queue to tick down. Oh, and reading the general boards here, laughing my butt off to people's whining Made the three-hour wait enjoyable

Visited my guild forum, youtube, geek websites, while I waited yesterday. Now that the servers are down, I am doing the same thing. Rinse and repeat.

Stared at the screen for three hours and fifteen minutes, looking at my queue place

Was she a garnish, or a side dish ?

And was her preperation what forced the kitchen cleaning ?
