    Default New to Faeblight

I've been playing lite for a few weeks, and I've recently subscribed. I haven't had as much fun playing an MMO since EQ2 and WAR, perhaps even since UO. I've had a lot of technical issues in dense areas that I think relate to my video cards, but otherwise its great.

I started on Wolfsbane, but it was rather crowded, so I've decided to give Faeblight a chance. Unfortunately, my first experience with the community was an RL political argument in the 1-29 channel, which resulted in me closing the channel to cease the chatter, but I'm definitely willing to overlook that.

I haven't quite figured out the class/leveling system yet, but I'm playing on the guardian side as Grignard, a level 21 tanking cleric. I'm looking forward to meeting the community and hope to eventually find a decent guild.

    Greetings, well met and welcome!

Since I have a Defiant I can't much speak of what goes on in Guardian chat.

    Welcome!

Sadly, political discussions and the like are probably the hallmark of any community with any substantial number of people.

While I'm not a big fan of the level-chat channels (and have them disabled, myself), I would definitely say that you're going to find many helpful guilds here! Just take a look around at the Guardian Guild subforum above and you'll be sure to find a group that'd suit you!

Welcome! Faeblight is a terrific home. Seon is a flirty healer always willing to help another cleric - never could master tanking, but when I'm not raiding I'll be delighted to mentor down and heal your dugeons. I'm in Telara most evenings from 5 to 9 server and look forward to meeting you.

Welcome to Faeblight! We have a fantastic little (okay, big, but not too big) community. Sometimes the 1-29 channel gets a little out of hand, but overall there are good folks here.

Take a look at the Guardian Guilds section... there are a ton of guilds to choose from! Hope to see you in-game!

    Welcome!

Don't feel bad. I have all the channels turns off (1-29, 50 Chat, etc). The only channels I see are Guild, /say, /party, etc. Trust me, it's much better that way. Until I need to do something, then I will join on and ask, but until then, my ignorance is bliss!

If you're interested in RP, feel free to ask anyone from the more popular RP guilds, or me (Gwendolan, Guardian) for assistance. I'm always willing to help a new RPer out.

Welcome to the game and our great shard!
Sad to say our in-game chats seem to have been taken over by nasty trolls and rude little trolls.
There are several great guilds on this shard, both RP or non-RP. We have a Looking For Guild app which is useful for finding the kind of guild you'd like to belong to!

You do NOT have to be an RPer to be here! We only ask that people do not disturb any role play session they may come across in there travels.

Most important thing about this game is to play the way you want to, not how others think you should!

My Guardian toons are listed in my sig. Feel free to add them to your friends list if you wish to ask for advice in game.

    Welcome to Faeblight!!

Some of the level channels are annoying, there are a few trolls in 1-29 that just want to stir up problems. The rest of the shard is full of extremely nice and helpful players.

If you need help you can add my characters to your Friends. They are Addisten and Heiian.

    Hope you have fun.

Thank you all for the welcome. I've almost made it to 30 and I've experimented with roles. My tanking cleric was my first role, but I've been experimenting with a more pure healing cleric, particularly in PvP. With few exceptions, I've been very impressed with the community. I would like to thank Philanthropy as one of their members helped me with a group quest in Gloamwood.

Where does most of the global communication happen on this server? Is there a crafting and trade chat channel by chance?

How are crafting skills? Other than fishing and survival, I've got a low level in Apothecary. I would assume there is always a demand for consumables. Is that true?

Thanks for mentioning us and thanking us! We are known to be helpful, friendly and kind to everyone we meet. That's our standard.

Global chat is your <World Defense> chat that you see at level 50. Trade chat is available, usually /3 for many people. Not really a crafting channel but trade chat works for that as well.

Apoth is a good skill to have so is a gathering skill such as foraging. Runerafter is great too but I would suggest pairing it with outfitting (you break down the items you level with crafting for runecrafting).

Consumables, runes and weapons are in high demand on Faeblight.

Take care and welcome to Faeblight!

Welcome to Faeblight! Probably the most friendly community in all the shards. I'm a rank 50 Defiant named Mordare, but to not let that turn you away, I'm actually quite friendly. PvP is kicking up a bit more on Faeblight, which some like and some don't, but if you do we are trying to work out some cool pvp/rp events. If you find yourself on the Defiant side, give me a shout and I'd be willing to help you along : )

    Good luck and have fun!
