The Bridge We Must Cross - A Foghladha (Gaiscioch) Roleplay

They day I was reborn, all seemed clear. Cyril gave me a complex task, of which I was to reunite Telara under the Guardian banner. To restore peace to Telara. The Vigil blessed me with rebirth and I was given a second chance to set things right.

I was joined by the mighty Gaiscioch, the finest warriors in the land all reborn by the Vigils kindness. Our crusade took us across Telara pushing the Defiants back into their home of Meridian. Together the Gaiscioch assassinated Sylvar Valis, Orphiel Farwind, Asha Catari, Dacia Ultan, Rodan Ismos, and Kaspar Massi only to see them brought back once again.

Our War raged with the Defiant, until the day we learned of the Dragon Cult's plan to use us against the Defiant. We were mere pawns in a much larger game. I pleaded with Cyril to stop this senseless war but his blind lust for power refused to admit that he was wrong.

The Gaiscioch formed an alliance with some key Defiant personnel to make a unified stand against the Dragon Cults. Over the months we have brought Guardians and Defiant into battle with us. We've pushed the Dragon Cults into the far reaches of Telara and have even helped train soldiers for the wars to come.

We asked Asha Catari to support our quest to reunite Telara using both Guardians and Defiants and the only response we received was an accusation of treason. Now our Gaiscioch fight for our survival. We fight the Guardians, we fight the Defiant, and we fight the Dragon Cults.

Today we stand, we see that our leaders are being controlled by Power and Revenge. They are blinded by it and all of Telara suffers because of it. The day is near where we must decide to make a stand against the Dragon Cults even if it means the destruction of the Guardians and Defiants. The day is near where we will have to use the might of the Guardians and the intellect of the Defiants to devise a plan of action. The time is near where we will have to fight.

I was born into the Guardian ranks, enlightened by the Defiant seers, and cured of my blindless by months of battle. 4,000 Guardians Warriors, 1,000 Defiant Centaurians, 5,000 Gaiscioch are ready for battle.

We Were Guardian, We Were Defiant, We ARE Gaiscioch!

We shall reunite the realms to take back Telara and save it from the Dragon Cults and any who seek to do it harm. The time is near...

Most likely not everyone, but it will be where we end up as a whole. Running multi-faction is great and all but it definitely takes a toll on event leads and restricts your ability to engage in some types of activities like PvP. It's been great hosting events both sides but at this point I think we need to focus on uniting the family under one roof. I'm certain there will be some who can not part their guardian or defiant ways and that's ok.

I think they can still have Guardian/Defiant guilds, but the 3rd faction could be the umbrella which can be more personally supervised. Especially if a hypothetical 3rd faction accepts members of the other two.

If Gaiscioch Members stay on Guardian or Defiant side we may open up 2 new guilds for them to keep in touch with. But they will not be called Gaiscioch. Without supervision we can't allow our name to be used. We take our reputation seriously.

Nah, I don't think they'd allow current players to export to a new faction. If it is like any other MMO that has done this, it'll be a 3rd faction you'd have to start anew on. That's my guess. See: Expansion. There has to be semblance of balance when doing multi-faction things. IF they allowed people to swap to the "new" faction, you'd just get 1 faction in the game because everyone would want to try it out.

If they retain current characters and allow new characters on the new faction, the legacy toons stay where they are and people are less likely to transfer en masse and lose all the work they've put in for the past year... thus creating said massive imbalance.

I am a Guardian because I'm a High Elf, but don't believe either in Guardians or Defiants. If I could freely choose my allegiance, it would be with the Plane of Life and the Aelfwar.

Transfer? I doubt that. I do feel that the force that seem to have an invisible hand in guiding several of Gaiscioch members (Machiko, Ephrus, Daermoon, etc) may very not stop at guiding just members of Guardians and Defiants once this new faction makes their presence known.

Hopefully the universe will expand to allow this unseen force to guide more people.

Different than I thought yes, but that doesn't change the Gaiscioch stance. We will continue to assault both capital cities and stop Guardian's and Defiant's from destroying out home.
