Welcome! This is the home of Faeblight's progression thread, I decided to make this thread very early on in the game to track how our server is doing and to facilitate conversation between raiding guilds I've seen progression threads in other mmos and while it may have some negative elements at times all in all I think it is a great way to get guilds/factions talking to each other and encouraging progress on the server in a beneficial way. I will try to actively update the thread as new information comes in, of course the success of a thread such as this depends a lot on the contributions of its members. So if you have information on guild kills and dates here is the place! Remember first time kills are also dated on the achievement if you forget, also remember to post updates according to server time! If you are a new guild or a guild that has just transferred over please include dates as you kill bosses on this shard (and not from your previous shard), and you may also want to provide a guild website (if you have one) and a list of bosses that you cleared on your previous shard. If you have any other questions please look at the Notes section at the bottom of the thread!

Lots of great progress lately, and a lot of anticipation for ID as guilds gear up. I hope Faeblight is prepared for the coming of Infernal Dawn and the looming wrath of Maelforge and Laethys. Only incredible focus and dedication will guide us through our hardest challenge yet!

Notes

What kind of guilds are allowed in the Progresson Thread? While exact guidelines are a bit ambiguous on whether certain pugs or alliances are allowed my general rule of thumb is that in order to qualify you need to be a separate and permanent raiding entity (no alt raids for example, or secondary guild raids, and progression is discounted if it is only the result of temporary members and is not repeatable by the permanent core of the raid). The one exception is in the Progression Breakdown for shard firsts. If you have achieved a shard first it is noted regardless of the composition of your raid. If this happens to be a 1 time alliance for example, the alliance is also immediately given the [retired] tag.

What happens when guilds leave the shard or split up? When a guild is no longer present on the shard we record it as [retired]. All of its progression is taken down, and summarized in a leaving post in the main thread in case it needs to be referenced later (or restored if the guild comes back). If the accomplishment is a faction or shard first (or a first that is not a previous clear), I leave up the accomplishment with a [retired] tag next to the guild name so that that information can still be viewed.

Also of note- Because raid dungeons tend to decrease in value over time as itemization and difficulty becomes outdated, the thread allows guilds to gain credit for clearing content from a previous tier on their formation or transfer date (if they are a new or transferred guild) if they no longer actively raid that content. This makes keeping track of guild strength more reliable as transferring guilds no longer have to reclear old content on the shard to get credit for it.

Finally this thread also keeps track of progression that was cleared by a guild for the first time off of the shard with a "previous clear" or [PC] tag. This way players may see in which areas guilds make original progress.

Edit: I wanted to run something by everyone- with the release of ID and T3 progression, do you think its getting time to retire the T1 progression on the thread? Maybe leave some of first clears on the dungeon up as part of a legacy type thing in the breakdown? I asked a similar question awhile back and some ppl were against it then because they felt it was too early, but I wanted to check again with T3 coming out what they feel is an acceptable timeframe for a dungeon?

Discordia doesn't have the bodies to do HK, but we plan on doing HK with 20 Discordia people eventually (1.8 recruitment should help). A third listing was what I had in mind, but since our entire raid force is in this alliance run, replacing our entry with the alliance entry is okay I guess. It's up to you, and what's easier for you to maintain. As long as it's acknowledged that we wouldn't be in HK without the awesome help of AV and especially Tumnayar (who is raid lead), then whatever.
