What is happening to WF pvp?

Guys... all joking aside where is the pvp from the defiants side? I transferred from Sagespire not so long ago on the understanding that Whitefall was where the action is.

Is it just a case of no organization or are the numbers dropping for defiants? I see pockets of pvp.. the odd 2/3 man groups no decent open world pvp. Warfronts are what they are but I much prefer open world stuff. or is it that a lot of defiants just prefer dungeons?

This isn't a flame fest or troll.. just a serious post as it's depressing to ride around for an entire evening to see the same 3 people.

I think it's just a matter of organisation. There are still a lot of defiants but no strong Defiant guild atm. And they seem to dominate during the day, when Guardians are doing it in the evenings. Hoping for better days.

Well at least it is good to hear there are defiant numbers... so some organisation and things might improve.

Today we had a Great time fighting some defiants in shimmersand, we were with a pug group in shimmersand doing the daily's having some fun killing defiants etc. when they kinda grouped up and we were screwed.
When that happens we ask in our guild for backup, so there it was, a 16 man group getting attacked by so many defiants it was getting awesome.

Situation:
16 guardians vs. 40+ defiants, they were pushing us back like a prisoner in the showers. In the end we had 20 people, defiants had a bit of enough so were decreasing in size. A fully coordinated pvp group vs a decent group of players. After a few minutes they died and they regrouped (as is normal if the fight is good and awesome). We killed them a couple of times, they regrouped, we killed a DRR group because we got bored.
We got some smacktalk because well face it, mess with pve-ers on a pvp server and you'll get a blast
Fought some time against these defiants, it ended and we went into HK, great times.

Conclusion:
What I've seen today, world pvp is not dead, just needs a guild on defiant side who arrange pvp groups.
Shame tainted is a bit inactive at the moment but if there is a guild who decides to start a 20man group to mess with some guardians, find it to be too many and call for backup with pugs they can kickstart it back into an extreme awesome pvp server.

Wouldn't say inactive, most quit and is waiting for GW2. Leaders didn't want to mass recruit to fight equal numbers since they preffer quality, and what else is there at r8 than open world pvp and the occasional warfronts?

I think you'll have a real tough time getting defiants actually organizing, everyone just want to PVE. Also I wouldn't say some casuals grping up for a zerg fest for dailies or what not is actually organizing:P Few groups of 20 can stand against bigger groups due to the lag it brings on for most, and the aoe and real burst aoe it brings out.

I tryed to organize a pug today for some fighting on my r5(in r3-4gear) warrior, but the fact is, people responding just want the dailies done, they're not interested in spending the time after they got their quests complete in the zone, so you got people not following marks, leader, or anything else. Not to mention we end up most pugs with rank 1-4people. The raid today did somewhat decent for some time, but the time wasted trying to actually find people even interested in doing dailies in the middle of the afternoon is pathetic considering active defiants online on the pvp shard.

you need more defiants on this shard just gonig on one night of play i can go ipp shimmer and still more and get into a pub group but never find anything to kill. a defiant rift opens omfg we are there. a guardian rift is there guardians avoid guardian rifts as we know its like a anti pvp event all together and running source stones is boring
