    Default Whitefalls general consensus on new pvp gear changes

    What do you guys think? Personally i think it's a pretty neat-o change, bringing back tactics/focus firing in group pvp situations and actually having to take out people capable of healing rather than bursting down the closest target in range and high rank warriors ping ponging off lower ranks harvesting heals with bloodthirsty, Not to mention longer mass pvp which is always a bonus in my eyes

    same, im glad for the changes... will bring more peeps out into the lakes and wf's cus there will be no more 2 shotting lowbies )... also pug zergs will be tougher too take down which will be more fun... may even encourage raids out in force all over hte zones fingers crossed!!!!

    lol... is that fair? rank 8 being nearly as strong as a rank 4?.... is it fair ppl who spent months grinding being even inferior to ppl who just dinged 50 and grinded for 3-5 days?? Try balancing classes... then deal with gear....

    Rogues need a buff, but other than that, I'd say it's all working nice. We're ment to fight in groups not 1on1. And a r4 can not compete to a r8 in a grp fight in contribution to the raid. Except if you needed a class ofc, like a delicous Dominator vs a nab team who doesn't know to dispell :P

    The difference between rank 4 and 8 is night and day... How are people who are already higher rnk going to be inferior to fresh 50's with their 28 dps two hand warrior weapons? Where is your logic. The gear needs to be balanced before classes can be balanced otherwise you end up with major inconsistencies like we have now (ak r8's running around 2 shotting r1-3's)

    Gear progression is still there and anyone with any sense will still be grinding up to get r6 and r8 because of the massive bonus provided by stat increment alone. Now factor in fresh 50's who do not have the sigil/pvp essences because they still have to acquire rep with order of the eye via dailies/pvp rifts and you can still see there is a massive handicap for people who have played longer.

    PvP Should not be about who spent the most time ingame it should be as the name incites player versus player, one persons skill against another persons skill, normalization of valor is just one stat that helps game mechanics (needing more damage in pve etc and introduction of p8 weapons increasing overll burst along with syn crystals) There needs to be a way to curb and balance the burst.


    If you think that being globalled is fair, bad news for you buddy. And the ople who complain are the ones that coast on gear.

    I think the valor changes are good in general, 1-2 shotting ppl who have no chance of fighting back is not very fun. R8 will still be powerful and there will still be an incentive to get there, there is a big difference between R6 and R8 now despite them having the same amount of valor and that wont change. On the other hand these changes might have a big impact on open world PVP as organized groups will find it harder to take down larger numbers. We'll see how it plays out.

    As far as Vengeance goes, it's just a straight up nerf for PVP gear in PVE. I don't mind it much but it was nice to be able to pass a lot of PVE loot to alts and lower ranked guildies since it makes gearing and progression faster. I don't really understand why the total amount of SP/AP was nerfed on the snyergy crystal and codex trinket, they could have just converted more SP/AP into Vengeance. There is also a concern regarding some specs and abilities that scale of AP for Rogues and Warriors, for example will Avatar of the Rift take Vengeance into consideration etc in PVP combat. I can see how this could get horribly implemented and cause an unneeded nerf for melee.

    This was confirmed to be working. When in pvp combat Vengeance is treated exactly the same as AP/SP.
