Farewell RIFT - VoTF Signing off

I would say its with a heavy heart that VoTF are leaving RIFT but with the huge amount of promise this game had it has sadly turned out to be another generic game without anything worth while PvP.

The balance of the game has not been the best and with rumours of the same person balancing classes that balanced WarHammer then I have no hope for the future of PvP in this game.

Open world PvP is a simply requirement to keep any hardcore PvPer entertained. It gives you the ability to prove yourself to your shard and enables you to gain "epeen" but sadly it seems that TRION are more focused on PvE.

We rolled on a PvP server to get open world PvP but that has never come to fruition. With one or two fights against BFG which was just curb stomping and then a few fights against TAINTED which was a little more fun there has been nothing else in this game that can keep us entertained.

So this is VoTF signing off. Good luck to everyone who continues to play and I hope that you base your enjoyment of a game on something other than PvP/ORVR.

Open world PvP has never been put on a plate, we roamed around stillmoor alot the last weeks, not seen you once.

You cannot be spoon fed all the time. Get out there and do something about it

Thats just it, we have roamed but without any open world objectives people will miss each other continually. That is why this game fails for PvPers. We have wiped BFG over and over and over. We have faught a tained raid also but for over a month of gaming to have 4 open world fights is just stupid!

It's not through lack of trying, its simply due to no mechanic promoting it. People prefer to sit in sanctum and join warfronts than roam around and possibly get a fight. The game is not geared towards hardcore PvPers and so we are leaving.

This is something I never thought I would do but I must take my hat off to NCSoft for the amaizing PvP they had in Aion compared to RIFT... The open world also, its just a shame the lack of support/updates/grind was in there.

AION had incredible potential. NCSoon was the problem.

Didn't once see you in OPvP since we rerolled and in warfronts you embarassed me on more than one ocassion causing to say on vent ''VoTF premade, could be a tough fight'' followed by camping you at spawn.

So I guess farewell to more spoon-fed new-gen PvPers. So sad, you were bad.

I never thought I would agree on something like that, but with facts in hand I sorta have to. Aion hand some great elements and compared to Rift they now seem awesome. Didn't like the lack of support tho, or the grind and forced zerg pvp. Aion with a little more open areas, not so much grind and a battleground you could more freely join would have been real good.

And I have to agree with the others, I spend an hour or two roaming with the group and about two or three roaming on my own, every single day, and I've not once come across a group of yours or even more than a solo-er. If you've only had a handful of fights in the past month you're probably roaming the wrong zone since we manage a handful in an hour.

If you think having a pre-made in any warfront is any condition to win then you really need to learn how this game works.

If you had more warriors/rogues then you were going to win, its that simple. If you want to continue in this thread trying to stroke your epeen to an already proven guild that has faceraped in many other games previously then feel free to do so, but you are making yourselves look like moronic forum pvpers. This game doesnt allow a guild to prove its worth, warfonts are not a show of a guilds ability to fight, its simply a show of which race has the most of a certain class...

Rift is obviously not a PvP game but I hope you enjoy it.
